I have shot this ammo, no issues in my M91/30. Traded some off for 7.62x39, which I thought I was buying from J&G for the same price.
Is it me, or does the 7.62x54 have the largest variety of bullet weights 147gr-203gr. and almost every variation in between.
Anyone know the best ammo weight for accuracy to 100-200 yds, out of a M91/30? I have "minute of pie plate" at 100, with this ammo, but I know there are some Winchester, and other "top shelf ammo" brands made, up to 203gr.
My 7.65x53 Arg. Mauser, shoots 165gr. SP Norma, 187gr. milsurp BTFMJ,, and 212gr armor-piercing.. Accuracy favors the Norma, but it is a better round, however the milsurp BTFMJ, will punch holes in steel deck plates 3/8" thick. and is combat accurate.
I shot up all my AP rounds when I was young and thought "this will always be around",... :'(

No, .30 US Springfield Model of 1906, aka .30 US Government, 7.62x63, .30-06 has the largest range of bullets from 55 gr JSP to 220 gr JSP loaded in factory ammuntion.
I've got two M-N both with short bbls. A unaltered Polish M44 20" and a cut down 18" 1904 dated Tula. Each prefers something different but each has always gone "BOOM".
