Title: I'm Getting Old and Getting Cranky
Post by: fightingquaker13 on November 08, 2010, 05:12:57 AM
You know you're old when.....a favorite Irish punk rock tune of your youth is used to market mini vans!!!!!! :o :o :o :P
Anyway, its happened. The rebellious music of my youth has officially become muzack. :'( Its like Dennis Hopper hawking 401ks. It just ain't right! >:(  Subaru has got the Pogues "If I Should Fall from Grace With God" as the back beat to a mini-van, A FREAKING MINI-VAN, commercial. Anyway, here's a great tune as I remember it.
FQ13 who obviously needs to take  his geritol. :'(

Here is one more from the Pogues, just because I'm pissed. Mini-vans? I've got your mini-van right here! A lovely tune called "The Boys From The County Hell'. I'm sure Tom can sing along. ;) Mini-vans? Give this one a listen. Warning, it might scare the neighbors. The Tea Party wishes they'd come up with this one. Don't tread on me indeed! ;D
FQ13 who has it out of his system now, well sort of anyway..... ;D

A Subaru Mini-Van??  Somehow that just does not seem right.  Up here about 3 in 10 cars on the road are Legacy Outbacks.  I have seen 8 in a nice row at the store before.

He's just whiskey poisoned, with teeth by the British National Health Service. ;D The Girlfriend, Christy MacColl is dead. Here is a duet, one of the greatest romantic holiday songs, "A Fairytale of New York". Its up there with "Its a Wonderful Life" to put you in the warm Christmas spirit. ;D

A Subaru Mini Van?  I don't think Subaru makes a mini van, unless you are talking about the Tribeca, which really isn't a mini van.

The Outback is great.  Have two in the driveway.  Met a family that has five.  Not sure if I like the new body style that started in 2010.

FQ, you may be cranky, but quit using old as an excuse.

And tell me you didn't sing out loud to "The Boys From County Hell". It'll be your freaking campaign theme song, don't deny it. ;D

Couldn't understand a word they said, music was okay but just some generic Irish stuff.
