I got into shooting a two years ago because my father is a hunter and a shooter and I was looking for something to connect with him on. He is a very good shot, to the point he has won 3 paintings at the Cooper One-shot Comp, and since I didn't believe I could compete with him with rifles, I took up pistols and now shoot IDPA have attended a USTG course et cetera... BUT I still needed something to "compete" with him. Due the relatively low cost and since he has a 50 yd range on his property I decided to build this 10/22 last year.

This has a Custom Swamp Maple Stock, a Kidd trigger, Kidd Barrel, Kidd Bolt Buffer and Leupy VX-3 4-12 AO scope. I have about $1200 in it and regularly shoot sub-MOA 10 shot groups.
He has a similarly built squirrel gun with mainly VQ parts and we shoot against each other every time I make the trip home to Ohio, but it gives us something to talk about every week.
My next plan for this rifle is to add a sling and use it for an Appleseed event.
I would like to read some other .22 related stories from forum members.

As I listened to the podcast I wondered who would start this thread ;D
Welcome to the Forum NC Buckeye.
Looking at your rifle only two words comes to mind, "simple elegance".
The 10/22 is produced in the millions, but the work you put into it makes it "one of a kind".
