Missed this episode, but a friend sent the link to youtube video.
The old man is sudden.
Fast FWD about 2 minutes in to get to his segment.

Two aimed shots, at combat distance in less that a 1/10th of a second. :o :o :o Sweet Lord! There are really aren't words for that. I now know who never to piss off. ;D

Those of us here already knew Bob was ridiculously fast.
The thing that cracks me up though is like NRA Police Practical shooting competition, this pot gutted old fart is an athlete who has honed his ability to a level where he is just unbeatable.
If you saw him sitting in a coffee shop you would never think to put him in a class of athlete that Lance Armstrong can only dream of ;D
-
Its a shame a S/A only holds 6 cartridges, he could clean up a bad neighbourhood real quick!
Awesome ability!

He is also a hell of a gunsmith from what I understand.
I saw an interview with him once and if I can find it I'll post. He was basically laughing at himself in a sense because of his 'hyped act'........ some people think he is an arrogant ass, because of his 'shtick or routine' and the way he sometimes 'plays up' his abilities....but in a sense he was saying is was just a big put on.
Saw this little unrelated, but interesting, tid-bit on one of the pages at his website:
A Note From Bob About The Guinness Book of Records
"In 1981, the year most shooting records disappeared from the Guinness Book, I called David Boehm of the Sterling Publishing Company and asked why. He told me that there is a committee that approves books to be used in school libraries across the nation. The committee informed Mr. Boehm that it would only approve the Guinness Book for continued use as a reference book in school libraries if gun records were removed. To protect the Guinness Book from a black list, that's what the publishing company felt it had to do. If you look at recent editions of the Guinness Book of World Records, you will notice that most gun records by shooters using real firearms (not gimmicked with things like light-weight aluminum barrels,) are no longer listed, including those set by the famous Annie Oakley, Ed McGivern, Tom Frye and myself. It is a shame that a small group of people on that education committee, people who probably grew up in cities away from the shooting sports millions of Americans and citizens of many other nations appreciate and enjoy, can have the power to effectively erase history."

Amazing!

Dayum!!! :o :o :o

I've seen Mr. Munden shoot on Impossible Shot, but never for speed there.
Cisco shoots the single action for speed/accuracy on that show and I've been impressed with his shooting.
But seeing Munden hit those two balloons was hard to believe (pulling 10g's during his draw is unreal too). I didn't at first...I thought I misunderstood what he was doing and that he had them lined up to shoot them with one shot. Even in slow motion he is amazing. The scientist was professional enough to not let his jaw hang open when he was doing his measurements.
He didn't shot with a "beep start" so he would be slower with that. At his age, his reaction will be less than it was years ago, but you can't take much from that man's ability.
I'd love to see Mr. Munden and Cisco do the two balloon shot from a timer start head to head.

That test is something he does on every exhibition he puts on. Bob's 2 shots that sound like one has been on American Shooter, and a couple other places. I love watching him shoot, but they're just amazed because they've never seen him shoot before. ;D

dose he not hold a world record for quick draw as well? if so why is that guy from California doing all the quick draw stuff on Impossible shots?

.....he'll just kill ya.

In 1995, Bob competed in the Bianchi Cup Pistol Tournament (The NRA National Action Shooting Competition) in Columbia, Missouri. Lots of competitors were there, but Bob was the only one who used a Colt .45 single action, with iron sights. The Bianchi Cup was designed for double-action revolvers and semi-automatic pistols - and the events are timed. Though, because he was using a single action, he had to cock and fire his gun for every shot, Bob did well enough in the competition to win money. Many spectators stood there with their mouths open as Bob hit target after target with his cowboy gun. Bob did it for the challenge - and the fun. Bianchi Tournament officials test-fired Bob's ammunition with his gun to make sure Bob was shooting the required 120 power-factor minimum. Bob was using ammo with power factor of 175.

I figure they have both Munden and Cisco to add variety to the show. It always helps to have a wide range of exhibitionists to spread it around a little. The more shooters the better.
Like Solus said, it would be good to see the two go head to head.....IMHO.

http://www.ksraweb.org/meeting.html Bob will be in Kansas City for the Kansas State rifle annual meeting and public invited wahooooooo I have seen him live a couple of times and he is gooooood

Never Doubt Wheel Guns Is Real Guns,.....In the hands of a wicked fast shooter,.....you won't even have time to aim....
Regardless, of IDPA, USPCA, IPSC, tactical training, etc,......No one is going to survive breaking into Munden's house,....
he's trained his dogs, to be almost as fast,.... :o
Just like Miculek,....some, and a very few, can be so fast, (funny it's with them ol' timey wheel guns),.... ;)
You don't need 15+1, when you are that fast, and never miss...
-
Its not mechanically possible to be that fast with a semi. The time it takes to work the slide is too great to make two shots in under 1/10th of a second an option. If I'm wrong correct me, but I remember some slow mo pics of a glock being fired, and I don't think the gun can do it mechanically, operator aside.

Yer probably right which is yet ANOTHER reason "wheel gunz iz real gunz!". ;D

Its sorta freaky when you think about it.
2 shots in 1/10 of sec = 20 shots per sec
20 x 60 secs = 1200 rnds per min out of one barrel
By Comparisson the M134D Minigun has a rate of fire of approx 3-4000 rounds per min using 6 barrels if we say 4000 rnds for arguments sake thats still only 666 rnds per min per barrel or half of what Bob could do out of one if theoretically possible. (aka a never ending revolver, like a hollywood revolver LOL ;D )
-
Bob Munden is so fast when he shoots from a 3 inch barrel theres 2 bullets in the barrel at the SAME TIME ! ;D

I'm gonna assume (ya I know.. ;) ) that you did the math on this so all I can say is "Holly Crap"! Think about the fact that he also shifts the point of aim 6 feet AFTER the first bullet exits the barrel and you have a "there's no way a HUMAN can do that"!
-
well, not to take anything from Munden, Miculek or Cisco, but in a gunfight they won't be making as many one shot hits with the targets moving and shooting back (if they live long enough to pull the trigger) and I'd not want to go against these guys with their wheel guns no matter what I was packing.....
But, if it takes more than six shots, they are hurting with a single action. Miculek reloading his swing out is, again, amazingly fast, no doubt faster than most doing a semi reload.
But if you don't have that level of skill with the Wheel Guns are Weal Guns (as Elmer Fudd says ;D), better learn to get as fast as you can with a semi.
-
Its why they carried two (or three) in the old west. ;D Likewise in the days of cap and ball, folks would carry extra cylinders as they were faster to change than reloading.

Read somewhere that when the James boys were riding with Quantrill it was common for them to carry 3 or 4 pistols and as many as a dozen spare cylinders.
