So ONE complaint can get a Nativity Scene removed, Santa barred from attendance at a school, but this? Muslim Call To Prayer ON A LOUDSPEAKER!!! >:(

The mosque, Masjid At-Taqwa, is reportedly located in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn and the site Logan’s Warning claims to have captured the video above last Thursday, around 6:00 a.m. According to the website, the message translation reads:
Allah is most great. Allah is most great.

In a country increasingly obsessed with political correctness, it’s hard to imagine what kind of outcry would take place if a Christian church played Christmas carols over a loudspeaker at this time of year, let alone messages that proclaim the superiority of Jesus Christ. The ACLU would have them run out of town!

Sorry guys, but I officially refuse to be offended. Let me explain. As a libertarian and Episcopalian, I am offended by those who are offended. The Muslims, the Evangelicals, the Catholic League, the feminists etc. Those people offend me. Not for what they say or believe, but because they are a bunch of sad sacks who can't hold their water and expect me to give a damn. Its as though I somehow became responsible for not hurting their freaking feelings! Look, I could care less what they want. They speak their piece, I speak mine and we're all good. Say I'm oppressing you for doing so.......? Call the faithful to prayer. I say that Mohamed was no prophet, the Koran ain't holy, and Allah ain't God. BTW, I like Salmon Rushdie. If you're ok with that we're cool. If you're offended? KMA. And I'll say the same to the professionally offended Christians who worry about "the war on Christmas" or are upset about Muslim calls to prayer. To them I say tighten the hell up and move on. A free society, like a good internet board, requires that in order for you to speak your mind you also others to do like wise. You just don't whine about it.

At 12:01 AM, December 25, 2010 we shine spotlights on and from every church in the city, the bells ring in celebration as the choirs do their best to recreate the chorus of Angels, over the loud speakers, bringing the Good News to the Shepherds in the hills.

I have zero issue with the call to prayer... what kills me is its at sunrise. some of us like to sleep in...
There are actually laws on the books about making noise at diffrent times. just enforces those equally and all is good.

At 6:00 a.m. you shouldn't be hearing ANYTHING over a PA system. Doesn't the city have a noise ordinance?

yep and I can play, offensive music or say use a jack hammer.
It should be a one way street, you allow one, you allow all.
Some people find somethings offensive others don't
a jack hammer is a perfect example. Most people would find it anoying. I like it, why do I like it? it sounds like money to me.

local college radio station had a funny thing happen a few years back - they had this Jonny Jihadi doing whack a loon america sucks radio in the wee hours of the morning - all his bumper music and such was on mp3 files. Well someone hacked the files and replaces his stuff with Christian songs!
