Was told by a firearm salesman that the Glock 21SF will no longer be produced. Anyone seen anything about this that likes the SF series? I have tried to find info in reference to this supporting the claim but have came up empty.

I haven't heard anything official, but it makes since if they are going to a 4th generation 21. It's my understanding that without the new backstraps all 4th gen Glocks come off of the line as basically SF. Add backstrap 1 to make it standard grip or backstrap 2 to make larger than standard.

That gun really could have been something had they made the slide the same width as a 1911.

Tried calling down there but apparently they are snowed in? Got voicemail and it was full. Also called GSSF and got voicemail.
I would have to say you are correct but was looking for something official. I know a local firearms dealer has been trying to get more G21SF's but to no avail.

I'm sure it won't be long until the 45GAP round, goes the way of the 41 magnum also...

That might be a bit longer since Glock is still really pushing it by basically giving them away in LEO contract purchases. Florida Highway Patrol will be all 45Gap by the end of this year and others are switching as well.

SHOT Show answered the questions. :) Thanks Mr. Holloway, Mr. Bane and Mr. Pincus for the eye candy from the SHOT Show.

I believe the old SF grip is the same as the new Gen4 grip with no added grip panels so there is no need for the standalone SF frame.
