this sums it up well for me
SO we all know that Muslims sprouting vitriol incite other Muslims to acts of violence, but there is no evidence that Americans sprouting vitriol incite other Americans to acts of violence. Can someone please explain?

also what ever happened to taking responsibility for ones own actions ???

This is what happens when a political movement fails to catch on the way it's supporters hoped and thought it would. They become desperate, stupid, and foolish. They all thought Hussein was the liberal saviour they all had been waiting for. He was, (is), a total disaster who cannot lead or govern. In short he is nothing more then a bull$h!t artist who can only recite prepared statements. He is lost on his own, and the socialistic movement he and his supporters had envisioned for this country has been soundly rejected by the same people who gave him the chance to prove himself. These socialistic, liberal people simply cannot tolerate this kind of loss. They weren't expecting it, and they were not prepared to deal with it. They've all responded by going completely off the rails.
Now, in an effort to save face, they are blaming anyone and everyone to keep the focus of their grandiose failure off of themselves. In the process they are simply making themselves, along with the socialism / liberalism they support, look worse by the day. It is getting so bad the democratic party is going to have to totally separate from these idiot's, or they will be dragged down with them, and lose any and all creditability in the process.
This is why they hate Sarah Palin, along with the Tea Party so much, and want to blame everything bad on her and them. Palin, along with the Tea Party, have been the most successful thing to happen to the GOP in years. They were just what the doctor ordered. Especially after such a lackluster, boring campaign by John McCain. Palin was the only bright light in the whole thing. They took her, along with the foundation of the Tea Party, and ran with it. They turned it into a monumental success. This was the exact opposite of what the liberals thought would happen to them. They had the Republicans written off for all but dead. Instead the exact opposite happened. They are the ones swimming for the life rafts in shark infested waters.
Look at this Pima County Sheriff Dumpkins, or whatever his name is. How could the man be so foolish and stupid? The shooters attorney is one of the best public defenders out there. It is all but certain she will use his statements against the prosecution when this thing goes to trial. This from a law enforcement official who is supposed to be helping the prosecution, not trying to destroy their case! But he can't help himself because he is so frustrated with the overall failure of his socialistic dreams, he is responding like an idiot politicizing the whole thing into yet another disaster for them, along with their party. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if this fool loses his job over it. This is how out of touch, and out of control these people have become. the farther they go off the rails, the better it is for conservatives in this country. The Republicans won't have to make their case for running the country. Hussein, along with all of his warped and twisted followers are going to do it for them. It's already well underway. Bill T.

Don't hold back Bill, tell us how you really feel.lol.Seriously,I think you nailed it

Even more disgraceful to the liberal democrats are all of these states that are going broke. Every one of them is a heavily blue democratic state that is in severe financial trouble. California, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, are all facing bankruptcy. Most all of it brought on by over priced entitlement programs and fat union pensions that have simply run out of money, and cannot be funded any longer without very large tax hikes that people are not willing to accept.
This is yet another slap in the face to the liberal democrats, and the socialism they so wished to see this country embrace. It will never happen. They see this and they simply cannot accept it. They have failed in the worst possible way, right on front and center stage, in front of all of America to see. There is no way out for these people. They were all so sure their vision would leave conservatives, along with their "outdated" ways and visions, in the dust. Again, just the opposite has happened. They have had the financial facts shoved straight in their face, and had it proven their vision is totally unobtainable, and unsustainable. They can't act to fix it because it is unfixable. All they can do is react by throwing tantrum after political tantrum. The Tucson shooting displayed all of this on a nationwide stage. They all managed to make the worst of it. The biggest vote getter's for the Republicans for the last 2 years, and for most likely the next 2 will be the democrats. They are campaigning hard for the conservative cause. They are just too stupid to know it. Bill T.

I have to agree, Being from Illinois. Chicago runs the state. They have the entitlements, the state employees can draw 95% of there salary after they retire at 55 with 25 years with the state. Now they just raised our taxes 66%. Can't wait till I can get out.

Whow! So sharp disagreement is now "vitriol"? If someone can't tell the difference between "This person is leading the country in the wrong direction and needs to be voted out of office" and "Allah says we must kill the infidels" then they are beyond understanding or logical thought. Or a "progressive." Is that redundant?
-
Is that redundant?
Yes. Yes it is.
The biggest mistake anyone is making is in the attempt to discern a logical reason for an illogical action. The guy is 3 french fries AND the toy short of a Happy Meal. Focus on the shooter, HE is the one who pulled the trigger.
I know, I know.....I'm preaching to the choir.

Palin s not helping herself though. She decided on call the attacks on herself "blood libel". :o ::) I am sure it was a remark made out of ignorance, but yikes! For those, like darling Sarah (hopefully), who aren't familiar with the term, Blood Libel was the myth that jews murdered Christian children and painted their doors with their blood during passover. It was one of the favorite tropes during the inquisition and the pogroms. Needless to say, the jews are a might testy. It is one of the biggest hot buttons you can push with jews. Its one step below comparing something to the Holocaust. What in God's name was she thinking? To play the martyr card was bad enough. She should have just told the truth and said "I have never called for violence and regret this incident, but it was not my fault, the guy was a nut job". To play poor persecuted me? Then to compare herself to how many slaughtered jews? Note to Sarah: go fishing or something. You are not helping yourself or us.

Who is "us"? Palin hurt no one. This has happened how many times since the election? Everyone complains about what she says, and how she says it, every time she, or her family is attacked by the libtards. Look at what has happened to the democrats since the election. Compare that to what has happened to Palin. Her achievements, along with the democrats failures prove who is helping themselves, and who is hurting. Every time they try to attack her she comes out of it better than her attackers. This time is no exception. Remember she is only 10 points behind Hussein in all of the major polls. And the woman isn't even running! That doesn't calculate into "hurting" by my observation. Bill T.

Oh, for the love of... !
More PC crap pushed by the lame-stream media. Oh no! A phrase that might offend someone! Funny how there was never an outcry when others have used it. It was used as a reference to a false accusation - it's use is not all that uncommon, specially in legal circles.
This whole brouhaha was started when that idiot "sheriff" gave cover to the liberal media to attack those that are voicing opposition to their agenda. Sorry to break it to you but the media is just a tad biased, if you haven't noticed. This whole "blood libel" thing is a tempest in a teacup. Another attempt to divert attention. It really didn't matter what she said as they were out for blood no matter what her response to the blood libel might have been.
-
Sorry guys. I don't blame Sarah and was one of the first here to blast those who did. Still, to play the martyr card in racially charged terms? WTF? Thats just bone stupid. It does hurt us as it makes us look totally out of touch. The correct thing to do is just not go there. Say it loud and clear. I've never called for violence, this guy isn't affiliated with me, and then move on. This was a blunder.

I don't really see most of what she says as a blunder at all. Most of her "blunders" are media creations by taking small snippits out of context. I have been in attendance at 2 of her speeches. The only "problem" I can see is that she is a politician that speaks like a person and not a schister lawyer. She uses plain english, and people relate to a woman that has a special needs child, a less than perfect daughter, and a record of exposing fraud and waste. Most of which was in her own party.
You forget FQ, that up until the elections Palin was a darling of the left, because she went after Republicans, and the oil companies. They loved her, until all of a sudden now she is a threat to their power. She is exposing them for what they are and they HAVE to shut her up.
-
I will defer to the majority as I am on Sarah's side here (did I just type that? :o). Still, I have little patience for the victim card.

FQ's opinion on this subject is worthless, If Palin walked across water FQ would post it" proved " that she could not swim.

Nobody knows what this shitheads' motive was. If you are going to speculate, why not speculate that it was the congress womans' anti-american political stances on such things as obamacare and illegal immigration that set him off?
Note how the media and politicians jump on the tragedy and try to drum up support for more anti-american policies like gun control and banning free speech. What a bunch of chowderheads and hypocrites! "I denounce political rhetoric, while spewing political rhetoric." Fail!

With people like this representing the liberal left, Palin is the least of their problems. These people are nuts! Bill T.

I've pretty much given up trying to argue with libtards. They can't defend their positions based on facts, so they go directly to personal attacks. As soon as they make that turn, I stop the conversation. Not because they have won, but you can't negotiate with vicious/stupid/crazy. It's not worth the fight most of the time. After all, how do you have an intelligent debate with someone whose only argument is that you are a racist/bigot/homophobe? Just because you don't agree with them in lock step?

Did anyone criticize the NY Times Op-Ed author who used the term "blood libel" the day before Palin's speech?
We are a nation of the offended. Wussed down by some PC metrosexual aspect of our culture, known as the Progressive Movement.
It's love/hate with Palin, there is no gray area.
Liberals/Progressives hate what scares them the most.

I guess it makes a difference where the blame is being placed

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Relatives of two teachers shot and killed during a faculty meeting last year at the University of Alabama in Huntsville filed lawsuits today claiming school administrators’ failure to follow safety rules contributed to the mass slaying.
The lawsuits, filed in state court in Huntsville by survivors of Maria Ragland Davis and Adriel D. Johnson Sr., contend UAH officials knew that Amy Bishop, the professor charged in the killings, was mentally unstable yet didn’t take steps that could have prevented the slayings.
Aside from Bishop and her husband James, the suit names UAH Provost Vistasp M. Karbhari, who also serves as executive vice president for academics. Another lawsuit had already been filed over the shooting.
The university said in a statement it was confident that Karbhari would be exonerated, saying that the "blame for this loss must be placed squarely on the perpetrator of this horrible crime."
"The university is saddened by the decision to sue Dr. Vistasp Karbhari and does not agree that Dr. Karbhari, or anyone associated with the university, could have predicted or prevented this random act of violence," it said.
An attorney for Bishop, Roy Miller, has said she will likely use an insanity defense. She is jailed without bond in the killings.
"The lawsuit does not come as any surprise. It’s to be expected," Miller said.
Davis, Johnson and Gopi K. Podila were killed when gunfire erupted during a meeting of the biology department faculty last Feb. 12. Three other people were shot, two critically, but survived.
The suits claim school officials had warning signs that Bishop could be dangerous yet failed to notify police, as required by university regulations.
"We have learned from departmental e-mails that Dr. Bishop’s severe mental instability was known by administrators, some of whom she had threatened, harassed, and hounded following denial of tenure," Douglas Fierberg, a Washington attorney for both families, said in a statement.
Davis’ husband, Sammie Lee Davis, said his wife was slain by "her mentally ill colleague."
"We hope this action will help prevent future tragedies by educating the public on a university’s responsibilities when dealing with people under severe psychological distress," he said in the statement.
The two faculty members who were seriously injured in the shooting, Joseph Leahy and Stephanie Monticciolo, filed suit against Bishop and her husband in November.
In June, a grand jury indicted Bishop for murder in the 1986 shooting death of her brother, 18-year-old Seth Bishop. The death at the family’s suburban Boston home initially was ruled accidental. But the case was reopened and an inquest conducted after her arrest in the Huntsville case.
