I take it this weeks podcast will be a little late?
-
Here it is:

I found it just before you posted Marshal. All of the links took me to 2/20...could be a caching problem from ISP...
-
The link for Winchester Silvertips is bad.
-
Link is corrected - refresh the page and you're good.
-
Only get about 8 min. 30 sec. of the podcast. Refreshed the page and still no luck. FYI

ellis4538, I have this same problem but not just with Down Range. My ISP will only provide me the slowest DSL speed which would not be bad if they met that speed, but they...thus the transmission gets stalled.
You just have to keep trying perhaps at a different time of day. I downloaded the mp3 file instead of streaming it. I had to restart the down load 4 times.
Did I say I hate my ISP?
-
Don explained the problem. I checked the file - it is clean and ok all the way through. So if the file stops, it means the internet connection is interrupted. The mp3 file can be downloaded here (http://www.downrange.tv/mp3s/47-mb022708.mp3) and played from your computer instead of the server.
-
Thanks guys but that didn't work either and sorry Don, I have no idea what your talking about.

This Pod cast hit the nail on the head, in summer (I think I remember what that is ) I wear shorts and T shirts, and my J frame is just a little big for that, so I've been carrying a 2 shot .22 derringer. (it beats the hell out of yelling BANG BANG). So all I've got to say is Thank You Ruger for the LCP and Thank You Michael for turning me onto it.
-
Great podcast as always.
Good video for the LCP as well.
I'm sure the LCP will end up not only be a "slip in the pocket" piece, but a "suspenders" for a "belt and suspenders" approach to being prepared. This and an LDA 9mm would make a good match!

Done everything I know how to do and still no luck with the podcast. Will wait a few weeks and see what happens. Sounds like I missed a good one.
-
Ellis, did you try downloading it instead of playing it live?
What browser are you using? I have Firefox, and Opera is also a good browser with easy media plug ins.
-
Don't know that much about it. Haven't had too much trouble with DRR before but some with the site in general. Don't know why, probably my provider and maybe the computer. Yes I did and that didn't work either. All I get is 8 min. 30 sec. no matter how I try it. Just remembered that it is AT&T Yahoo browser.
-
Ellis,
Not trying to be a smarty you but do you defrag regularly? How about disk check (advanced on defrag some times). I assume you have good virus protection?
To download the file just right click and Save (to the desktop so you can find it easy), that way the whole thing will download to your system then you just click on the file on your desktop to listen.

Poor lad.
AT&T Yahoo Browser? To make an analogy, that's like using an H&R snub-nosed revolver to compete against STI raceguns at IPSC.
Get Firefox or Opera. They're good, free open source alternatives and they work well.
Zombie. Oh. My. Gosh. Barbecue. I never thought I'd go browser snob... but I just did. :'(

I had a similar problem. Marshal Holloway gave me different sight to listen to MB's podcasts its (www.digg.com/podcasts/DOWN_RANGE_TV). If that doesn't work for you e-mail him at marshal@cascity.com with your problem and maybe he can help ;) ;

For whatever reason every time I type in an e-mail address it posts itself underlined. The part with DOWN_RANGE_TV must be typed in this way. Sorry about that.

It underlines it to show it as a hyperlink.
-
Ahhhhhhhhhh! OK that makes sense.
-
I'm reading, but not commenting because I compute like I shoot, point and click (with the shooting it's bang but YOU all know what I mean) By the way, I heard (maybe here) that the two loudest noises you can hear are a bang when you expect a click and a click when you expect a bang.

Thanks everyone for your help. Digg worked finally. Also thanks for the sympathy...if you only knew what we went thru at the beginning. Unfortunately I don't have the $$ to invest in upgrading etc. etc. etc. I am an old fart and am retired and on a very fixed budget. Also I don't have the computer knowledge it takes to take advantage of a lot of the neat internet/computer stuff out there.
Thanks again
The link in your post worked fine but when I try to save it as a favorite and do a search it doesn't show up and I have no idea why. And yes I typed it every way imaginable based on you later post.
Also checked the podcast link on homepage and it is working as advertised...GO FIGURE

Ellis - this is why I suggested Firefox and Opera. They are free, opensource downloads. No strings attached, and both constantly update themselves with appropriate plug ins. Minimal fuss on anyone's part - Lord knows I'm lazy when it comes to computer maintenance.
-
Doug, like I said, I'm not sure about stuff like that.
Thanks
