Hell they ought to show that on the local news!  If'n ya don't find it funny then ya ain't gonna survive.  ;)

Comic Relief:  Def  Comic relief usually means a release of emotional or other tension resulting from a comic episode interposed in the midst of serious or tragic elements in a drama

It is not only used in literature and films, it is more needed where real tragedy is involved.

It only seems like yesterday when the "little woman" snuck up behind me and .....hit me in the back of the head with ...a dogfish!  Seriously, the Aussie Baywatch thread caught me totally off guard.
