Here's something to brighten your day. The Illinois Court of Appeals has ruled that Rahm doesn't meet the residency requirement to run for mayor of Chicago. Apprently you needed to be in residency for a year before the election and he wasn't. Don't you think a guy who was Chief of Staff of the freaking White House (arguably one of the four most powerful men in the nation) could have figured this out? :o If I were his campaign adviser I'd have my phone turned off and be on a plane to anywhere.
"I want him dead! I want his family dead! I want his friends dead! Hell, kill the freaking cat!". ;D ;D ;D
FQ13 who is enjoying this a little too much.

CHICAGO – An Illinois appellate court on Monday threw former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel off the ballot for Chicago mayor because he didn't live in the city in the year before the election.
The decision put Emanuel's candidacy into doubt a month before the election. He had been considered the front-runner and had raised more money than any other candidate.
The court voted 2-1 to overturn a lower-court ruling that would have kept Emanuel's name on the Feb. 22 ballot.

A lawyer for Emanuel says they plan to appeal the matter to the Illinois Supreme Court.
Those challenging Emanuel's candidacy have argued that the Democrat doesn't meet the one-year residency requirement because he rented out his Chicago home and moved his family to Washington to work for President Barack Obama for nearly two years.
Emanuel has said he always intended to return to Chicago and was only living in Washington at the request of the president.
Emanuel is one of several candidates vying to replace Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, who did not seek a seventh term. Emanuel moved back to Chicago in October after he quit working for Obama to campaign full-time.
HA HA ;D

But I thought ALL the Judges were on the take,...er,...uh,....made offers they couldn't refuse,.....
I'm sure the Judge will be waking up with a horse head very soon..
Sorry Darth Rahm,....guess you'll just have to go back to strong-arming hapless folks, throwing some old people down some stairs, and ya' know, getting back to A REAL JOB!!!

Any one that takes a couple goons into the Congressional sauna and slaps around a naked Senator can't be all bad.
It's why I refer to the scumbag as "My Hero" ;D

Don't get too excited. It means old Rahm need to come up with more $$$$$ to the IL machine.
They must have had a tax increase after he went to DC.
As soon as he drops off the paper bag full of cash he will be back on the ballot.

Well yeah, it IS Chitcago after all. ::)

Now it'll go to the Illinois Supreme Court, one of the most liberal courts in the land. Dead Fish will win there.
My question is this, how is Dead Fish moving to Washington to work for the Dipshit-In-Chief different from anybody else accepting a job out of state, as it pertains to residency?

"Those challenging Emanuel's candidacy have argued that the Democrat doesn't meet the one-year residency requirement because he rented out his Chicago home and moved his family to Washington to work for President Barack Obama for nearly two years."
He owned a home, he did note reside in it again till recently.
The law talks about residence, not ownership.
States are different.
Arlen Spector put his primary residence as Harvey Cedars, NJ when he was the US senator from PA.
He and his wife own a home in Philly and that met PA law for the requirement to run for office in PA.

The paper today said he Ballots have been sent for printing and Rahm's name was not on them. Wonder when he is going to ask Obama for his old job back?
-
Well, the other show dropped. The Illinois Supreme Court - the finest court Chicago politics can buy! - just ruled that Rahmie-kins' name has to be included on the ballot. No details, but geez, was there even a hearing?
I am so glad I left that commie fascist state.
UDATED: The Ill. Supreme Court ruled that his name had to be included on the ballots until they decided whether to hear the case or not. The order was to stop printing ballots without his name.
I don't get it. A lower court ruled his name off, and the Ill. Supreme Court said - wait we haven't decided to hear the appeal, but to be fair, put his name back on?
I am still glad I left that commie fascist state.

Rahm's, argument is that his "service" to the White House was just like being in the military and that shouldn't count against his residency.
Which is ......{warning strong language}...... BS. He took a job, like any other business job. He chose to relocate as oppose to commute. He probably listed his DC area home as his primary residence on his tax returns.

As most of us Vets are aware, you do not relinquish your residency when you're on active duty. Darth was a hired gun, not a sworn or elected official. He was hired at an exorbitant salary, he had a choice, he made it, now he's gotta STFU and deal with it.

Comparing what he was doing to being in the military is just another sign that the "powers that be" don't have a clue what it is like in the real world.

On the other hand........I can see Rahmbo with a chewed up half cigar and a SAW shooting up some jihadi's in Afghanistan very easily. Hell, he'd probably consider it a vaction. That is one seriously mean, permanently pissed off jewish kid from Chi Town. I wouldn't mind having him in my platoon if I were fighting muslims. Hell, I can here his hearts and minds speech now. "You know what's great about America? Its that a man can have enthusiams. Enthusiams. Mine? Its baseball........". ;D
