waiting for home made bread to cool enough for you to eat after it comes out of the oven.   ;D

I always make 2,  one to eat right away and the other to save for the next meal  :P

I don't know what I like better, fresh bread or the smell throughout the house, I thought this was going somewhere else, but actually glad it is what it is.  Back when I had a good appetite, we would cook steaks on the grill, and contrary to normal opinion, I would tear into one right then, as it bled onto the plate, love to pile all the steaks on one plate, so the blood collects in one place and then can be put on my mashed potatos, big yum,  Now it is just me and the Mrs, so we still cook a couple of extra steaks, very rare, just seared on the outside, I take them to work, cut the meat on a bias = slant, and put on a George forman grill, with a few cut up peppers and onions, salt and pepper and it does not have that reheated beef funk, tastes fresh, flour tortilla and pico de gallo + cheese, oh yeah.

If you want something that will really strech your belt...

take pound cake( store bought is fine, but home made is better)  cut it into 1" slices, put it into the toaster.  then cover it with maple syrup, rum or both.   ;D

OMG you want to talk about good.

Just lop off the critter's horns, wipe it's ass, and walk it past the fire on the way to the table.   ;D

I like mine rare, but not quite THAT rare. Roll him over the fire on the way to the table. Oh, and bring more steak fries too!
