What the hell???
This pisses me off.. >:
The annual MLK observance at the state house in Columbia, S.C. had an interesting twist this year (Monday,Jan.17th 2011). The event was held on the north side steps of the statehouse. Prominent at that location is a large bronze statue of George Washington. This year, the NAACP constructed a "box" to conceal the Father of His Country from view so that participants would not be offended by his presence. Change has come and it ain’t pretty!

He was a slave owner. Still and all so was half the damned country. Sorry, but even MLK would have slapped them for that. GW might have been flawed, but it weren't for his ideals, they'd still have been slaves. God save us from PC BS that ignores historical context. Judging a culture, fine. Judging an individual raised in that culture? Its unfair and hypocritical.

We will be celebrating President George Washington's birthday this coming month. In recognition of this I propose we cover every MLK street sign with a black rag.
