Federal/American Eagle .45acp ammunition recall (Public Service Announcement)
FEDERAL and AMERICAN EAGLE 45 AUTO PRODUCT SAFETY WARNING
Immediate Action Required
Certain lots of recently manufactured 45 Auto ammunition may contain an incorrect propellant charge. Use of product from these lots may result in firearm damage and possible serious injury.
DO NOT USE PRODUCT FROM THE FOLLOWING LOTS:
38X628 through 38X765
and
38T401 through 38T414

Thanks for the heads up....didn't take me as long as I thought it would to dig through the ammo pile - no recalled ammo here.

What is the original source of this info? I checked the link and there was no indication it came from Federal. I checked Federal's web site and there's nothing there. Just asking.

True, I did not personally vet this as it is on several of the major sites.
A little google-foo led me to this flyer from Federal.

Thanks for the fill in. I get a little suspicious when I see something on the web that says it's a "public service announcement". It's still not on Feds web site and a couple of my local pushers know nothing. I have contacted Federal and await their answer. This won't affect me as the only factory 45s I have are from Remington. I decided not to call Federal since their phones are probably under severe attack whether this is legit or not. Hopefully we'll get conformation shortly.

Just heard from Federal and this is legit. This wasn't there this am when I looked but that was early. Guess I'll pass this on to my local pusher.
