;)
Title of the video says she shot the intruder, but the report says she shot at him and scared him off.

Richmond is the 3rd point of a triangle formed by Berkley and San Francisco, it is also the birth place of the original Black Panther Party.
-
I was more surprised at what the cop said about owning a gun and such.

he is a idiot, you can NOT use your gun to protect your property in CA, doing so will get you in deep shit.

Thought that also......but was not 100% sure if it was defined in CA law (it is defined in some states).
-
It's called the Castle Doctrine TAB,....many states have it.
For a moment, let's go into your evening,.....Nice dinner, quiet night, everything hunky-dory,...
You retire for the night, and about an hour later your door is kicked in. WTF do you know about the intruders?
They just want your property? So it's all good NOT to shoot them?,...I can get another DVD player, and some knick-knacks?
What a surrender mentality. We here at DRTV, know you better than that,...and know you would defend yourself.
Regardless of California law. Your door gets kicked in, the BG's get what they deserve.
1) Lawful Gun Owner
2) VICTIM....
Pretty simple.

you can only use deadly force in CA if you are in fear of your life/great bodly harm or you fear for some one elses life/bodly harm.
its up to the DA to prove that you were not in fear for your life. That being said, if my door gets kicked in, I am in fear for my life and those of my family.

What TAB says is true, (Remember, it's Ca. no castle doctrine )
BUT, What he added at the end is generally accepted as a defense, there was a case just like this in Oakland when I was out there.
-
we also can stand are ground. Non of that run away 1st crap, like several states still have.
SD in CA is actually very good and its been that way for decades.
Its not what a reasonable person would think, its what you think that matters under CA law.
-
Whether the cop was an idiot or not, I like his take on defending ones home and property.
If his attitude were held by the majority of residents who where not reluctant to express those beliefs, I'd bet the anti-gun laws in CA would be reduced.
-
The majority in CA, even in the worst liberal enclaves seem to be the "don't know/don't care" crowd. With Pro, as well as anti only being minorities. Unfortunately because of the rest of the Liberal agenda they get more financial, media, and political support.
-
the only reason why the Dems are in charge of CA is they kiss the goverment workers unions butts.
Pretty much every one that gets money from those unions votes for them.

That's what I meant by "the rest of the liberal agenda".
Sucking up to Unions, welfare recipients and illegals.
-
To be fair the GOP here is no diffrent the DNC. Pretty much you have to get the backing of the unions or you lose.
I'm sure most of you remember Arny. when he was 1st elected he had a election for his ideas to get us back on track( it was the platform he ran on) the unions dumped 100+ mill in ads to fight it.
This was basic stuff, that they are now looking into to doing.
