KINGMAN - A Kingman man gets his pitchfork back after he's acquitted in a trespassing case.

Mohave County Judge Pro-tempore Paul Julien ruled March 5 that Mervin Fried was not guilty of third-degree trespassing.

The Daily Miner reports Fried was arrested for attempting to bring a pitchfork into the county supervisor's building on Feb. 16, 2010.

Fried was asked by County Manager Ron Walker to leave his pitchfork outside. Fried was arrested when he refused and tried to enter the building with the pitchfork.

The judge ruled Walker did have the authority to restrict access to the building.

However, Julien wrote Walker's decision allowing members of the public with holstered handguns access to the building but denying access to the defendant because he had a holstered' pitchfork was arbitrary, capricious and unreasonable.

................... he had a holstered' pitchfork .............

I'm curious that a Galco, a Blackhawk, a De Santis, a Blade Tech, or a Fobus?

Oh wait, maybe an Alabama Holster or El Paso Saddlery  or Tennessee Holster Company or maybe just simply from Southern Holsters

I FOUND IT.  It had to be a  Gradfather Oak Custom Carry.   Yeah that sounds like a company who make holsters for pitchforks.  Oak Custom Carry.

It's all about the right to bear arms.

I think the original article may have been mistaken about the holster.  My pitchfork carries better with a sling (convertible one or two-point).  ;D

I hope he had it holstered using a Blackhawk Serpa.  That way he would have his pitch finger in the proper position.  If he used a IWB it might get a little uncomfortable.

I would suggest an IIT* carry for certain recipients!

Between this thread and the pointy things thread, I couldn't resist.  I had to google "tactical pitchfork."

I would say I'm surprised, but almost nothing on the internet surprises me anymore.

I hope it wasn't one of those high capacity pitch forks.  Those things should be outlawed.

WAIT WAIT.

Is that an ARMOR PIERCING PITCHFORK?

Can't have that.  Only acceptable if the tines are made of plastic.  And not that new, spaceage lexan stuff either.  Just regular plastic.

The only things it needs is a bayonet lug and a six position adjustable handle.  Patten it baby! ;D

From my experience, forks for manure have many small diameter forks and are about the same size as what yall northerners use to shovel snow in the winter.  Hay forks have just a few points and are long handled.

Yep, and I also know that the tactical fork is a spade fork most commonly used for digging up taters and bulbs.

Now Mr. Bogan, how about throwing in a silage knife and fork into your list  ;D
