After I waited about 8 months my TRP finally arrived.
-
Sweet!!!
My good friend has one and loves it.....Hope you enjoy yours as well.
-
Looks good. Looking forward to range report.
When I get over my S&W big bore revolver addiction, I think I could get hooked on SA's 1911 line.
-
Yes indeed! You need to give that thing a workout!

That's a nice weapon! I've got the same exact grips on my Springfield "Loaded" Stainless 1911. Bill T.

TRPs are know to be rather finicky when new. I think you'd better send it to me for thorough examination and break in period. Being the nice guy that I am, I'll supply the ammo. ;D
P.S. Congrats on one sweet piece of hardware. Let us know what you think of that aggressive front strap checkering.

Gosh, Ich...what a guy... I usually ask for half the cost of the ammo to inspect and break in a new firearm for someone.
You are getting quite a deal, WatchMan...grab it.

Give that baby plenty of lube, and lots of hot, steamy ball ammo for 300 rounds or so. Follow it all up with a good wet cleaning and lubrication, and you'll be a thoroughly dangerous man to face! Bill T.

Bill, that gun looks mighty familiar....(except my grips are black). ;) ;D
And she'll make one-hole groups too.....if I can do my part. :D

Springfield has got the 1911 down to a science. I have both this one and the Trophy Match, and both are excellent performers. I'm planning a lot more shooting with both of them in the future. Bill T.

I just got done shooting and what a sweet gun it is. I shot at multiple distances from 5 yards to 25 yards. I practiced head shots on a full size target at 25 yards and put all shots on the head. I'm good with that kind of accuracy.

Outstanding!!
I've never grouped mine from bags at 50yds....but I'm confident it would be suitable as a starter-to-mid-level Bullseye gun for NRA-type matches.
Been a long time since I shot a match, but my SA at 25 shoots as good as my old competition gun did.

Very nice, enjoy!

The Springfield 1911's do run well, don't they? Bill T.
