Um, Why? Here's another, are they out of their damned minds?  And, just for you BAC a bonus thought. Is it too early to have a drink? ;D
FQ13 who thinks the word tactical needs to be banned. Honestly, its got two barrels. Point it at the BG, shoot twice, and reload. This differs from a standard quail gun how? Oh, yeah, its black, has a rail ::) and costs an extra hundred bucks. Y'know, it IS saturday, maybe it isn't too early for that drink. ;)

Might be a small target Tom. I think he's compensating for something. ;D Seriously, Tactical Tree Service? Do they sneak up on the tress? Or maybe they use det cord to do their trimming. If you want to kick his ass on general principles, I think you could find a few volunteers. Better still, hire him. Bring him out to your place and explain that the tree is dug in on a ridgeline a thousand yards out with a clear line of sight. Warn him that a stealthy approach and suppresive fire might be necessary in order to engage in CQB with it. ;D

Really? Can't a coach's gun cover it? They worked for many decades.

Geez. Some things are left UN-tacticool...Although effective in either configuration.

You know how this works. "Tactical" is to guns as "Marine" is to any part that might fit on a boat. All it means is that you double the price. :P

Marketing!!!

Name it tactical.  Paint it black, shorten it from both ends, and add rails.  That is what sells today boys and girls.

Stoger makes a "Tactical" coach gun.   Called the double defense.

Why not make a "Tactical" over under shotgun.    Would it be effective probably, is it more effective than the good old pump shotgun, probably not.

I think they both look fun.

Because for what they charge for a Stoeger shotgun you can easily buy an American Made gun that actually does have tactical application with out looking like  Beverley Hillbillies meets the A Team.
What is this idiotic mall ninja fascination with the word "tactical" ?
Afghanistan is tactical, The very few cops who actually kick in doors, are tactical. The rest is just wannabe mallninja BS.

IIRC, Mavericks are made in Mexico.....and, from a QC standpoint,  I'd rather have a gun from Brazil or Argentina than one from Mexico....
