Well the Kimber Solo on the range gun was taken off today. The slide no longer locks on an empty magazine nor when you manually try to engage the slide lock. I don't know the round count but I'm sure it was less that 1000 total rounds before it malfunctioned. Oh well...

Doesn't sound funny. Sounds like a bummer.
-
Have you fired it? What's it like? How does it compare to the Ruger LC9?

Sounds like the inside tenon of the slide lock broke or got chipped, or maybe the detent plunger is not holding the lock firmly in the slide.

Nope, I was going to shoot after work and that was when I was told it broke.

That sucks.

The gun shop's Kimber Solo came back from repair last Friday and went back on the range. It was taken off the range by Saturday evening. Same problem, the slide wouldn't lock either on empty or manually.

Sounds like free hat time for Kimber.
