I'll bet they'll drive the 8 hours next time,....oh wait,...gas prices make it about even... >:(
Who The (insert expletive, rhymes with duck) is the brains behind this B.S.?
The young girl, who is with her mother in the video, does not make any comment while she’s being patted down. An onlooker videotaped the encounter.
“You can’t just re-scan her?” the girl’s mother asks. The TSA agent says no.
The agent tells the girl what she’s doing, including saying she‘s touching the girl’s “sensitive area with the back of my hand.”
Near the end of the minute-and-a-half video, a woman is heard saying: “They’re doing the drug test on her, the whatever test … on a six-year-old.”
“Yeah. it’s their job,” a man replies.

I am glad my son is older....If it was my daughter, at that age, I would be calling for bail money...This is B.S.

Glad I have son's.
If it were my daughter, I'd be with you in the graybar hotel.......'cause the TSA goon would be in the emergency room.....while somewhere, baby seals would be cringing. >:(

I was pretty disgusted at this video myself. How many 6 year old terrorists have you ever heard of before? Zero. This is where profiling needs to be in place. Not a lot of "PC" people would agree with that statement, but for Pete's sake. I would have missed my flight for sure, I'd probably be stuck in a room at the airport, awaiting Eric "My People" Holder to show up, so he could press charges of serious bodily harm to a TSA agent. :-X If she already went through the body scanner, then she should be good to go. I bet that kid will never want to fly again. We need to be a proactive society, instead of a reactive society.
-
I bet they would have let that little girl go without so much as a second glance if she'd been wearing a head scarf.

You got that right.

I really don't understand these body scanners. In my limited flying experience, I've been through 3 metal detectors and 1 scanner. I had no problem going through the metal detectors; I got patted down after going through the scanner. You have to remove everything, paper and all to go through the scanner and they still check you after you go through. Seems like they check everyone that goes through it. What's the point in having it? Fix it to where you can tell what's what or don't use it.
Personally, I think if you're crazy enough to blow up an airplane with you in it you're crazy enough to strap a bomb to a kid. But, if that child has been through the scanner and the only reason the parents are pissed off is because you're groping their child, then they obviously aren't hiding anything. These people are ridiculous.
I have a friend, late twenties pretty girl, that recently mentioned the TSA being extra gropey after going through a scanner. That's bad enough, but a girl as young as the one in the video. ??? >:(
I definitely agree with profiling. Most stereotypes are based off of at least some truth.
-
I have been through the scanner just once, and I fly a few times a year. Most of the time, it's just a trip through the metal detector and then i get to put my boots, belt, and hat back on and be on my way. I havent been groped yet but, I was thinking of making a t-shirt that says.. TSA: If we did our job any better, we'd have to buy you dinner..
-
This whole thing is a security façade.
I recently chaperoned a trip to D.C. While there, several of the kids bought switchblade combs. About half of them got through TSA checkpoints with them, and a few had there taken. Being my mild-mannered and polite self, I informed the TSA workers and mentioned they had let several of these through yet confiscated some—which is simply not fair.
The result, they handed me the confiscated items to return to the kids when they get off the plane.
This was leaving out nation's capitol in presumably one of the most secure airports in the world.

I know what my 5yo would of done
we were at a restrant and she needed to go to the toilet as we know the place well and most of the staff she went on her own ( we could see anyone that went in or out and she went to the disabled toilet where there is only 1 in there ) before she went she said she would scream out if anyone tried anything and she said if they touch me can I hurt them ;D
funny thing though she was taking a bit of time so the Mrs went to check on her and when she knocked on the door I could hear her scream WHO IS IT from the other side of the place.
got to love the little Rangger ;D

Exactly we drum in to our kids stranger danger and not to let strangers touch you etc and then we have to say hey but its ok if these people in unifrom touch in "sensitive" areas WTF. I think a few of these TSA types need to be followed home and introduced to a tyre iron in their sensative areas!

This entire TSA nonsense has nothing to do with safety and everything to do with control. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think the TSA has actually stopped even one bomb-toting terrorist.
Even more worriesome is the fact that now the SEIU is forcing the TSA to become unionized. That gives union thugs the ability to shut down all air transport in the US whenever they decide that's what they want to do.
We should take a lesson from Israel and profile, profile, profile. El Al flights don't blow up.
-
At the rate FAA Air Traffic Controllers are being caught asleep at the switch,.......Where's Reagan when you need him?
After all, the Union standards for gov't employees are held in such high regard...

The sad thing is you aren't wrong.
Not one freaking bad guy caught in 10 years of bullshit security theater.

Im sorry but this is over the top. And the TSA agent scanning that girl is sooooo A-typical. What the f*$% is that agent going to do if someone was hell bent on causing a problem. I guarantee that 6 year old could out run her and the guy standing with his hands folded. Jesus H.

WTF?!? Has Al Quaida started recruiting midgets and doing plastic surgery on them to make them look like caucasian 6-year-olds? Why the hell haven't we been warned of this before now!!
I blame the TSA Agent less than their superiors. This lady is doing what she's told, trying to keep her job. Much like the schools that suspend kindergarteners for drawing a picture of a gun. Thinking and common sense has been removed from the equation, and replaced with procedures and guidelines. And God for bid one of the screeners should attempt to think, or question their orders!!!
This country is going to hell in a hand basket.

Most of our security systems are designed to find the weapon. El AL/Israeli security isn't. It's designed to find the bomber. Some call it profilling, it isn't really. "Profiling" in the liberal touchy-feely context is racially biased. "It is a black/latino/caucasian..." The Israelis don't care about skin color it's 80% what the individual is doing. "Does not make eye contact, nervous/sweating, labored breathing, dialated pupils..." There is a small part that singles out physical description "20-30 y/o male, Arab" but that is based in historical data that NO ONE would dispute. The other thing is that EVERYONE is taught early on what signs to look for, not just security types (is there anything else in Israel?) The bus/taxi drivers, shop owners, and Rafi the paperboy know that if they see something out of place to calmly vacate the area and call the police. We'd NEVER get to that point here. To many people with their noses buried deep in thier KIndle/IPad/cell phone. They can't be bothered with personal security, it's someone elses job. Never happen here.

a few cans of high suger and high caffine energy drinks and they will spontaneously combust.
I mean its sad, that some one would use a kid to blow up a plane/smuggle, but lets face it, if your willing to kill hundreds of people, thats no big deal.

If I had to give an example of total stupidity, this would be it. We want to be "secure" when we fly. So we create a multi billion dollar government bureaucracy, then staff it with a bunch of $8.00 an hour total idiots who will do only what they are told, and not a thing more.
This is why I would never fly anymore. If I had been there I would have been placed into custody because I would have called that dumb f*#k, brainless idiot of a woman every name in the book. Patting down a 6 year old girl because you really believe she's loaded with explosives? You can't make $h!t like this up. We won't profile like Israel. We won't use bomb sniffing dogs like Israel. We won't pull Arabs out of line and question them like Israel. And Israel has NEVER been attacked. Instead we pat down little girls and worry about 4 oz. bottles of shampoo. Then turn around and staff our "security" with no mind idiots. We're finished. "TSA" = Totally Stupid A$$holes. Bill T.

The sheeple don't want to be bothered with being an ACTIVE participant in their own security, they want someone else to do it for them. True security from terrorists limits personal freedoms and requires that everyone be on the look out. Never happen here.

Transportation Security Administration officers give eight-month baby pat-down
Jacob Jester captured the pat-down at Kansas City International Airport. Picture: Jacob Jester
AN eight-month old boy has been subjected to a body pat-down while going through an airport security screening.
The incident has caused outrage in the US after fellow passenger Jacob Jester posted a photograph of the search at Kansas City International Airport on Twitter.
Mr Jester’s photograph - captured on his phone - shows the mother holding the child as two smiling Transportation Security Administration officers search the boy at the security checkpoint.
Mr Jester said he was travelling to Albuquerque when he noticed the woman behind him with a baby about the same age as his son. He had just passed through security when he looked back and saw the baby receiving the pat-down.
"This is an extreme measure. I wouldn't want that to happen to my own son," Mr Jester told msnbc.com.
He later posted the photo on Twitter. "Just saw #tsa agents patting down a little baby at @KCIAirport. Pretty sure that’s extreme,” he wrote.
However, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said officers “followed proper current screening procedures by screening the family”.
"We reviewed the screening of this family, and found that the child’s stroller alarmed during explosives screening,” the TSA said on its blog.
“Our officers followed proper current screening procedures by screening the family after the alarm, who by the way were very cooperative and were on the way to their gate in no time."
TSA screeners are instructed to use a modified pat-down for children 12 and younger, according to the agency's website.
“Terrorists are willing to manipulate societal norms to evade detection, TSA has been actively assessing less invasive screening methods for low-risk populations, such as younger passengers, while still maintaining a high level of security,” the TSA wrote.
News.com.au’s Doc Holiday was recently subjected to his first full-body airport scan and has revealed what Australian travellers can expect when they are introduced here later this year.
Doc Holiday was told by leading Australia-based airport security expert Roger Henning, that a body scanner is “the ultimate intrusion of privacy - a device aimed clearly at politicians who all need to be seen to be doing something regardless of the cost.”

I bet that baby had more than 3 ounces of liquid in his diaper. The little bastard. Doesn't he know that getting on a plane with a full size tube of toothpaste means the terrorists have won?

It's tough to look for signs when one has one's head shoved up one's ass so far that one is sitting on one's own shoulders.

Look at the grins on these azzholes faces! >:(
What I do not understand is the complete and utter silence from our elected kongress kritters. Where are the lawsuits, or at least the threat of House hearings into TSA funding over this? Why not call the TSA heads on the carpet with subpoenas to ask them - publicly - why they lie to us (TSA policy is to not grope children) and the reality as presented through numerous videos on the net?
Seriously, have we gone down the rabbit hole so completely that this no longer matters to anyone in power? These TSA people should be in jail. And count their blessings they aren't publicly executed for crimes against humanity.

To be honest, this bothers me less than the 6-year old. An infant who, unlike a 6-year old, is incapable of raising an alarm if something is amiss, is more apt to co-opted than a 6-year old who normally couldn't "keep a secret" if their life depended on it.
Just my thoughts, YMMV.
