Mine is still a work in progress because I ordered a knox stock for a Remington 870 (and still on back order). Switched out the barrel 26" for an 18 1/2", The dedicated Surfire Forend is supposed to be here monday, and thinking of adding a Tritium front sight if not a tritium Ghost Ring set.

I just ordered a Ruger 22/45 w/replaceable grips. Got it for a steal ;D. I expect to get it in a couple of weeks. I'll do a couple of mods to it and get it to the range.

Gun show for me too tomorrow. Hope to see a Kimber Solo. I've had a chance to check out but not shoot most if not all of the SC 9's except the Solo. Am leaning toward the EMP because it is a 1911 platform but am still hedging.

I didn't know that today was BAG day. (thank God) UPS did leave 900 rds of handgun ammo on my doorstep today though! ;D

Went to the Ft. Lauderdale Tea Party rally at the Federal Courthouse, listened to Col. Allen West. Trump coming to Boca tomorrow. I like West more and more.
Our local Dixie Gun Works, has a once a month group power buy, where we RSVP our orders, he grinds through the different dealers, and gets the deals with quantity back up. Free BBQ and beverages, meet good folks. Talk guns, family and politics.
Not quite a BAG, but it was a gun/ammo afternoon and evening.

Dudes, I'm feelin' kinda puny. Din't know it wuz buy a gun day, but gotta note from the Amish folks that my Made In America genuine leather belt should be arriving in about a week.
There is a local gunshow on Sat and Sun, and I plan to go on Sun., (yeah, after church). No-dough makes it a bit hard to buy another gun, but I might talk somebody outta sumpin. I gotta big handfull of want and a pocketfull of not-so-much, but I may find sumpin. I could sure use another bazillion rounds of .22LR for barter after the fall. Sumpin-sumpin jus' may show up.

I mailed off my Umarex steel storm and will now be buying a Crossman .22 pistol, so that sorta counts. ;D
However what I want is for kilo to give a range report on that Mossy. It looks very good.

You are going to be PLEASANTLY SURPRISED at the accuracy of the Savage 17HMR.
Mine doesn't even have the bull barrel and is a grouping machine!! ;D
However what I want is for kilo to give a range report on that Mossy. It looks very good.

The Marietta Gun show was pretty good. Problem was I couldn't find anything I wanted. Well except a magazine release catch for my 1911.....that was all I bought, a miniature slotted latch and spring. $8.
There was a S&W Model 66 for a good price. It was a no-dash, made around 1973. Pinned barrel, recessed cylinder, trigger stop and stainless steel sights. Private collection only asking $575. I have one, but I spent some time trying to convince another revolver collector that it was worth buying.
There's still the on-line auction tomorrow. Wife said go ahead and bid up the offer. Maybe a un-fluted 629-2 will be in the offering.

The "exhibitors" included Hooters (and scores of Hooter girls in all manner of undress dress). Boats, ATVs, grilling stuff, Dock Dogs, video games, remodeling companies (WTF?), paintball, an X-rated goods store (behind curtains only, as the organizers rightly bill this as a family show - assuming your family includes scores of Hooters chicks!!!! Plus the shooting range where I am on the Board, and I was working the show (and got in free BTW). Here's a list of the exhibitors, including the Red River Regional Marksmanship Center. Two car dealerships had a few cars - A 4-door Bentley billed as the fastest 4-door on the planet, a proven 198mph. A Maserati, a Porsche and an Audi A8 (feh). No Porsche Panameras, although people in town do have them.
Cabela's from East Grand Forks was there, handing out discount coupons ($10 off a $75 purchase, or $20 off $120 purchase) - plus the sale is still going on. I think a road trip is in order!!!!! Gear and primers and 6.8Rem SPC ammo, oh my!! ;D
They also had really nice looking young ladies in tight jeans or Daisy Dukes just walking around in high heels. It was more than a little difficult when some of them walked by to keep the discussion about the range going.

No range report yet...been raining cats and dogs here for 2 days so no luck hitting the range.
Bought it "lightly used" from a guy on TheHighRoad.org for $475 shipped. Thought that was a pretty good price.
