Thought I'd start a thread for everyone to post photos from NRAAM.  I'll start with day 1.  As I was working a cash register at the NRA store, I really didn't get to see anything at the show, but here are a couple pictures.

Lots of photos today.  I'll try to get them uploaded soon.  The big news I found out today from Colt is that they are planning on reintroducing the King Cobra late next year, with more to follow.

BAC...good pictures!  Glad we were able to meet up!  I got to meet and talk to 2 of the 3 M's.  Got a hug and kiss from the pretty one also!!!!  LOL

Traffic outside was a mess Fri. and inside Sat.  Glad I got to do most of my looking Fri.

I want to say the original cost was something ~$2.50.  The box and ammo cost more than the gun.

My #1 Daughter-in-laws' father has a NIB original.   When he first showed it to me a decade or so ago, I told him a couple of hundred.  I later informed him that prices have now shot up to a couple of thousand for his 90%+ version.

I have to ask WHY? on this piece. A cool piece of history yes, but $600 for a fire and forget weapon that would have a Saturday night special looking down its nose? Here, I lose the the plot. Lots of cool guns on offer though. Maybe next year.....

What I've heard, about the originals, is that very few were actually ever "dropped" or used.  The rest were destroyed.  Because they were truly cheap POS, nobody thought to preserve any of them or take care of them.  A few years ago people started to realize they were actually rather scarce, especially ones complete in good condition are scarce.  

When I checked about 10 years ago they were only valued at $200-300.   Now they're 10 times that.  So it's not surprising that replicas can command $600

I got picked out of the masses by Remington for a chance to win a new shotgun but haven't received a call yet so I guess my bad luck still holds!  LOL
