Sweet! A nice set up. The ony thing I would add (if the prices have become sane again) are the Mossberg ghost ring sights. They will let you hit a pie plate at 50 yards with a slug. Well worth the addition if you get a deal on them. Not necessary if you only shoot buck acrosss the living room, but for across the street, I'd give them a look.

I'm still debating about a Tritium set from Wilson Combat ($140).  The farthest I can actually using this is the 25 yrds.  I've turned off the lights and just used the Surefire and the Gold bead gets more than enough illumination to see it

That should do it then. Maybe a tritium (or other cheaper glowy option) bead. I was just suggesting the ghost rings if you were going to shoot slugs out of it for bears, SD, or hunting.

It is set up well in every way but capacity.  I'd slap on a magazine extension.  Agree also with FQ about the sights.

That's on the list of possibles.   The main thought behind it is the Maah Daah Hey trail campsites.  If four rounds of 00 Buck don't take care of a mountain lion we really are in trouble.  At this point I consider it operational until I can afford the addition.

Heck with the blaster! I want to know where I can get one of those tables! :)

While true, the weakest link in any shotgun system is ammo.  It is heavy, the system doesn't carry a lot (no matter what the config) and it is slow to reload.  Nobody ever walks into a bad situation and wishes for limitations in the ammo.

Personally, I'd start with a 7/8 round tube and start adding things from there...in this order:
+ Mag tube
+ Additional rounds on weapon (e.g., side saddle and/or speed feed stock and/or shell carrier)
+ Weapons light
+ Good sling
+ Sights
+ Everything else

All that said, it's a very functional blaster as it is...those are just MY priorities.

It looks good but a mag extension would be more tactical.  ;)

Well, I just got a good sized birthday check from my uncle.  I don't have much of an excuse now.  I'm thinking about throwing in my AR and two of us will have .45 another a 9.

Three more rounds SHOULD take it right to the 18 1/2 anymore than that and it looses it's practicality

I love the set up as is. One I do agree about is the extra rounds on a sleeve.

As for the magazine extensions, get them while you can. Was told this is another item the anti's camp was going after.

My shotgun molle pouch just arrived in UPS this after noon and I have spare rounds in 5.11 PUSH pack that I use as a go bag. I haven't ordered the mag extention yet.
