Very cool. Not only is Justified a pretty decent show, Elmore Leonard is one hell of a writer. He wrote the original short story that Get Shorty was based on, as well as Justified, and a whole bunch of classic Western stories that have been made into movies, like Hombre, Tall T, et al.

Don't forget "Maximum Bob'. Another great TV show that tanked too soon, but some funny books.

I just began noticing Justified about two months ago. I like that show. Especially the show before the season finale' when Raylan knocked Doyle Bennet in the head and drug Dickie Bennet out for the coup' de grace. With Dickie pleading for his life Raylan camly said he was doing it (executing him) because that's what they are and that's what they do...no animosity mind you...it's just that thing they do so there you go in a matter-of-fact kind of a way...and then mentally recanted and pistol whipped Dickie's lights out.
And of course the final Apple Pie episode was kewl too.

I hate Elmore Leonard. I think his books suck, and his movies, like "Get Shorty" and Pulp Fiction" are convoluted, disjointed crap.
Not to mention he's a flaming Liberal.

He speaks well of you Tom :D

Tom Bogan's book on direct, to-the-point opinions. Say This not That

Not That:
I can't recommend Elmore Lenard. His books just aren't my cup of tea, and his movies, like "Get Shorty" and "Pulp Fiction" are convoluted, disjointed cinematic attempts.
I also don't agree with his political views.

I never believed in beating around the bush, it leads to misunderstanding.
Besides, T-A-C-T is a 4 letter word. ;D

You tell him M'lette! Its a redneck version of The Shield (my favorite cop show ever). All brought to you by Fox, "The Family Values Channel". ;D ;D ;D
FQ13 who can't help but remember the quote from the sheriff in Matewan; "There might be some some shootin' '". ;D
PS for you heathens who haven't seen Matewan, rent it now. Its about the coal wars in West Virginia in the twenties and has more and better bluegrass mayhem than anything I've ever seen. It's a must watch.
