Just got done with my last service call of the week, and sitting in my truck in front of the customer's house doing paperwork when, CRUNCH. A semi delivering something down the street backed into the side of my 2011 Tundra. It was a sh!t way to end what has been a SH!T week.
The damage wasn't that great, but now I have to start playing the insurance bureacracy game with people that aren't going to want to pay off.
Just as a side note, the company that owns the truck is the same company that owns the truck that crossed three lanes of traffic and killed my wifes cousin 3 years ago.

Sorry to hear it. Hope that the PD really socked it to the idiot

They won't show up unless there's blood. All this idiot did was rub his tires down the side of my truck. His boss was very cooperative, but the ins. co. is another story.

2011 pick up, you're just sitting there ... Sounds like a new pick up is heading your way at the trucking company's expense!
-
The number one thing is that you are OK......
Maybe the insurance shysters won't be too much trouble if it is a cut-n-dry case.
Good luck to you.

I'm glad you're okay.
I'd mention this, with raised eyebrow, to their insurance company. If they don't sit up and take notice, then maybe ask to speak to one of their lawyers. Mention: "Pattern of careless driving".

Alf, school him on the phone interview! ;D ;D

Pegleg and Alf said what I was going to.
Glad your OK.

Mention the FMCSA new CSA rules and points and how you would be happy to ensure that this was reported and that all points and fines per the rules are applied to the driver AND the company.

Sorry bout that JC. On the other hand, be glad it was a commercial outfit. Down here, its apt to be an illegal Haitian imigrant with the family driver's licence and zero insurance. :-\
