Post by: kmitch200 on May 26, 2011, 05:34:36 PM
Golden pups get "milk mustaches" on TOP of their noses from eating the drywall!
5mo male on left and 1yr female on rgiht - neither one seems to give a damn about the fist sized hole in the wall...

What is it about that kinda stuff?  My Handsome Boy LOVED spray texture!  He would lick a hole in the tarp that caught the over spray!

It acts as a antacid, often wild animals will eat CA deposites for this purpose.

PS:  As an afterthought...my Grandad used to say FWIW "You have to be smarter than the animal before you can teach it anything!".

I had a yellow Lab pup who was about 6 months old. We had planned to tile the enclosed porch and had the morter, grout and  redish tiles stacked in the corner. The dog slept out there and he ignored the materials.

I drive 400 miles to help my brother move and my father in law tags along for something to do.

I get a frantic phone call from my wife the dog has broken in to the grout bag and is now blood red in color. She thinks he's been eat the stuff as well. I tell her to call my dad and have him come over and hose off the dog.

After an epic battle, Labs hate clean water for some reason, the dog is a redish yellow tint, the porch is swept up and the wife is saying it's all my fault.

I get home the next day and take the dog on a run.  Along the way he stops, squats and shits a brick!, Really, the grout make the stool look like a little red paver. Kept it up for another day or so. Little bricks every time he he had to take a dump.

He ended up being a great hunting dog but God he was a bone head!

Rat,
I love this story...I had a choc. lab and we called him Sir Brick because of his color.  Brings back good memories.  He was also a good hunting dog and a bone head.
