Title: Who likes CZs?
Post by: cz-rami-2075 on May 26, 2011, 08:51:32 PM
I know that Michael and a few others here have a secret admiration for the CZ75.

Who likes Czs and are not afraid to let the world know?

Let me see the pics and stories.

Hell, I publically admit to loving Glocks, so I am clearly without shame. ;D I've never played with a CZ or a Toakarev for that matter, but I'd love to give them a go.

I have a Phantom and love it.  Shoot IDPA with it and it does everything I could ask and more.  I have small hands but it still feels good and is easy to shoot and accurate.

I have a CZ mutant - aka CZ-40P. Fits my hand well, great shooter, no problems. Love it.

Something of a safe queen these days since I got the .22 conversion for the Sig. But it was the 2nd handgun I ever bought, have a ton of mags for it - good thing since I don't think they're still available. Fun shooter, very comfortable.

Damn, now I need to go shoot it. Where's the .40S&W ammo?

I used to have a CZ clone. Generic version of the AR24 compact. I was using it for CCW, but traded it for a lighter weight 9mm. It was an absolutely fantastic pistol, but all steel construction meant it weighed a ton. Especially after a few hours on the hip. ;)

I generally feel that Glocks and 1911's are the best doomsday guns, because of availability of relatively inexpensive parts, but I've had a CZ-75B for nearly 20 years and it may be the best 9mm of the bunch. It's all steel, but a little weight never really bothered me. It's like a Hi-power in double action and what an awesome double-action!  ;D

75's, 75B's, SP-01, Shadows, Tactical Sports/CTS. I love em all! Not quite as much as the 1911, but darn near. CZ Custom is building up a tricked out 75B in .40 for Limited 10 right now....  My new favorite!

CZ has dominated this list for years, even with new Gens of other models, and new one's all together. Still personal preference, however, they are a very good pistol.

I have the EAA Witness/Tangfolio,  CZ clone in .40, and have no issues with reliability and function. Except mag prices stink. :'(

And rifles....550 in 22-250, 452FS in 17 that shoots bugholes at 50 yds & a 550 FS in .270 groups 1/2 inch at 200 yards and not just once...every time whoever is behind the trigger when they do their job with 130 gr. Fed Prem in 130 boat tail.  A full wood stock should not shoot tight 5 shot groups so mine are a blessing....that .270 has the best trigger of any...any....of my rifles including a couple of custom triggers.  The .22-250 with laminated, floated stock and trigger job, however, can't do better than 1-1/2 inches at 200 yards....go figure I guess I need to cut an inch off the barrel and thread it.

The SP-01 shoots cloverleafs at 25 yards with white box Winchester...I use that one for steel challenge.  The bit of extra weight actually seems to help with performance after 50 or so rounds when compared to  lighter weapon.

I just got a CZ-75 Compact in .40 S&W, it weighs a ton compared to my XD40 but it shoots like crazy and the recoil is minimal. My problem now is getting an SP-01 to go with it and more magazines as I only have 10 right now.
