I have the Mil Pro PT145 withthe Straight Eight sights. I hear they tend to hit low. This is my 1st .45 handgun, I've always carried 9mm for CCW and the M&P .40 for work. Are there any sights that will make my PT145 more on target or is there anything I can do to modify the Straight Eight sights? Ideas?

Have you actually shot it to see where it hits? I have a set of standard Heine sights that hit low but I hold to allow for this...no big deal.

Find the ammo it likes .

Buy a shorter front sight or file down the one you have.

Did you buy the pistol new? If so, then your point of impact will be at the front sight dot. It will shoot like that untill the pistol is broken in. Don't do anything to the front sight untill you put 300 to 500 rounds down range.
If you want to change your sights, try these;
