I'm looking to buy a new .45acp handgun that isn't plastic or a 1911. The CZ97b looks to be a something different. I'd like input from those who own one. I would appreciate any help I can get. ;D

I never messed with one, but they are a nice looking piece .

With all due apologies to Mauserman, that line opens up so many avenues for drift. ;D
I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.
AS to the topic, I have looked seriously at CZ's several times....... I have a good friend that owns several and loves them.

I have shot one, never owned, but may do it some day. They are very accurate and a bit on the heavy side. Grip design and weight make them soft shooting. The glossy blue is VERY sexy.

I went to my local gun store and checked one out. It was a bit heavy probably heavier than my SA loaded. I guess thats good for prolonged shooting sessions and to tame the 200 gr +p ammo I got from my babe last week. She got me 150 rounds of Corbon 45acp +p ammo just because it was Friday and she was thinking of me. Life is good. ;D

Same story here. I have never owned one, never fired one, but I handle EVERY one I see in a gun shop. I WILL own one some day. It is a beautiful, BIG 45. It's certainly not a pocket gun- heavy, but like a 1911 it's all metal and is a fine example of a well-made tool. Between the CZ rep and the feel, fit, and finish, I really want one. Hopefully some day I won't be chasin' my tail enough to get it. Right now it's #2 on my 45 want list right after a 3" 1911.
