I have been to them and they ARE fun. They have fun games to participate it ( for a price of course) and lots of things at the auction that they hold that evening.
I bid on one of the items for a surprise for Marshal and I got it.

They are great programs!  They help support programs in your local area and help fund an organization that is fighting for our rights.  Now I challenge everyone to get involved in one of the banquets by either donating time or prizes.  The local committees work very hard to make these happen.  Many hands make for light work.

Even people who think he NRA is not aggressive enough ( they are in the BUSINESS of LOBBYING,) should attend, They do so much for teaching safety to new shooters, Law enforcement training, National Firearms museum etc. Plus they are FUN.
Idon't know about others but the meal was excellent as well  ;D

Friends of NRA also raises money to give grants to youth shooting programs.

Go to a Friends of NRA banquet and know that any money you spend is going to help fund youth shooting programs.
