First you have to wonder. Thats really the best they can do with the kind of money made selling drugs? Second, WHAT did they have in mind for this... Dohicky?

I'm really seeing something like this making an appearance in the next zombie flick. ;D

And you wonder why Mexico is the total stink hole it is. All the money in the world, and all they can come up with is something a deranged US farmer could build better in a garage. Bill T.

Against a bunch of Latino marksmen with pistols and AK-47's, this would provide good service. That is, until somebody find an RPG.....

Hey, don't knock it.....it could work.............you have seen the Mexican Police, haven't you? ;D

I saw pictures of some of these vehicles on another forum and the welding looks like it was done by a toddler. I wouldn't be surprised if they self-destructed when they hit a pothole.

Shouldn't take a genius to figure it out.
They were thinking,
"I want one of those badass Mad Max trucks".
Quickly followed by,
"Can you make it a lowrider man ?"

Well, given that the cartels probably don't have a lot of engineering and design talent on the payroll they probably did meet their design specs.
1. A vehicle large enough and fast enough to make trans Mexico drug runs.
2. Provide for many armed guards.
3. Armored to protect the guards and the contents.
4. Able to plow through roadblocks
5. Air Conditioned for comfort an a controlled environment for the drugs.
Not pretty, but does all of that.

It's a multi Billion dollar a year business.
If the Columbian's can hire naval architects to design and build them submarines, (and they did, including buying boat yards to work in ) the Mexicans can buy some one to do anything they want.

True...they can afford better talent but would it have made a product that did any better?
Maybe when they find they need reactive armor, they can upgrade the staff....of course you could probably buy it in segments and hang it on that truck.
Besides, they would lose the pride in having done it themselves ;D ;D ;D ;D
