I saw this http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/1911-22.aspx (http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/1911-22.aspx) online a few weeks ago and called my semi-local dealer who happens to be at the top end of Sig dealers. They already got a few in but they didn't make it to the sales floor. I've got one on the way for what I think is a very fair $350 out the door. I paid nearly that much for my P-22 from the same dealer a couple years ago and this looks like a lot more gun. The only thing is as soon as I get it they'll start offering one with a threaded barrel, which will be $200+ to order from Sig. THe same thing happened with my 239. Oh well I guess it wouldn't hurt to own 2 of these.

Not sure but it is marked made in Germany.

"Everybody knows Germans make good stuff"! ;)
Looks like one FUN squirrel blaster!
BUD'S lists this thing as "Can't be delivered to SC". WTF!?! >:( Several of their pistols say that. >:( >:( >:(

They are made by Umarex. They make the Colt 1911-22 also. I've seen them both at LGS in the $350 range.

Is the slide steel or aluminum? Bill T.

Sig lists it as a lightweight metal frame & slide and a empty weight w/ mag of 18oz so I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's most likely all aluminum.
