Title: Kudos to Badgersmilk
Post by: bjtraz on July 27, 2011, 10:30:48 PM
Just a shout out for BM. I received the optics that I purchased from him today. They were as good or better than he described, a hell of a deal. Also he included a bonus gift with his quick shipping. You don't get service like this any more!  :D

Oh great,  now he's going to get a bigger Badger head... ;D

I've bought/sold, swapped, sent, and received "stuff" from other members, and it's always been straight up and an asset here at DRTV.

Now if I can just get someone to send me that Barrett.... ;)

Ok, here are the Pros and Cons of my deal with BM for the XS Sights.

First, the package arrived yesterday, Wed, after having been shipped on Monday.  Good job.

Second, the sights are just as advertised and expected.  Glad to have gotten them at the good price (and I should not have hesitated on the other optics over how to swing the cost).

Third, the Glock spare parts and the other extras are appreciated.

But that is where the good points end and the bad stuff comes in.

1.  The 4 Disc Boxed DVD set of WWII War Movies, which I have not seen, made the box very crowded and difficult to unpack.  Additionally, I now need to find space to store the set and, finally, I will have to figure out a way to schedule time to watch them, multiple times, no less.

2.  The XS Sights and the Glock spare parts came wrapped, not is proper bubble wrap, but paper towels!  Sure, they were secure and well protected, but, come on, paper towels?

3.  Because the Glock parts were only wrapped in paper towels, I will need to find room in a spare parts boxe for them.  Additionally, I will need to label any that might be model specific.

Just to be sure, if anyone does not recognize my list of Cons as humor, it was.  And it was used to point out things I found pleasing.

Thanks again, BM.

And, TW, yeah...this type of transaction is what is "expected" here.....expected not because that is the type of behavior we enforce here, but expected because that it the quality of the members who have made DRTV their "home".

BM said he didn't want me to send the payment until I had received the shipment and verified it was what I expected...that he wanted to be sure there would be no misunderstandings of the transaction.  It struck me as "odd", as I intended to send payment as soon as we had "shaken PMs", but I took it as an expression of trust on his part.

And, while all this is the "expected" , the Kudos about it is not so much to praise BM or whomever, it is more to brag about the quality of folks here on the Forum.

Thanks guys!  I just threw the dvd's in cause it's always nice, yet so seldom you ever get something more than you were expecting these days, right?  Plus, to me it's kida like going over to a friends house.  You don't go empty handed!  You bring beer!   ;D
