Watched it on DVR.
The obstacles/challenges look to raise the bar on this series.

IF the competitors wouldn't whine like a bunch of school girls it would be alot more enjoyable, BUT I'd love to try to shoot off a stagecoach someday

+1 !

That is the part I find so objectionable. Leave all of the "reality bull$h!t" out of it, and focus on the shooting. It's all staged anyway. Poorly at best. Their petty bickering is no more real than "Operation Repo".   Bill T.

500 S&W...nice opening.  Then there was the guy who couldn't get up the pole to the shooting platform and the woman who, by her own admission was a bad ass, could not hit that big old bull at 75 yards with 10 shots.  Those two guys cost the red team.

Did anyone notice, about a minute in:

I love the high speed stuff run in slo-mo.   Here and on Gun Stories.   What I particularly watch for is the bullet exit in relation to the recoil.   Every scene I've watched, the bullet exits substantially before the recoil is apparent (at least in slo-mo).   But I noticed something different in the opening scenes (teasers/trailers) of TS.

About a minute in, two guys are competing with some semi-auto pistols.  Don't know the make/model.  Just as they fire, the scene changes to a close up of the pistol against a blue background.  What's unusual is that the slide starts recoiling BEFORE the bullet exits the barrel.

Anyone else notice?

Could they be blow back as opposed to locked breech?

I'll see if I can get a snippet on-line of that scene.

In this video, at ~1:26 in is the scene I'm talking about.

I imagine just about any other semiauto pistol looks the same as far as the movement goes.

The slide and barrel are still "locked" when traveling backwards until the barrel drops and the slide continues.

To answer the OP question I did and will studiously avoid at all costs watching the program.

Pecos, who doesn't watch any of the other silly a$$ed reality "contests."

Watched it this week, and I will continue to as I have time.

I was very impressed that it only had five or ten minutes of the house crap.  If they can stay away from the stupid personality and petty bickering I will enjoy it.  However, I think when they drop down to two shooting events rather than the three this week they will have more time to ruin a good show.

I don't know why all these shows that are supposedly sporting or cooking or whatever competitions insist on adding that extraneous stuff. Its like the Olympics. I don't care where you grew up and don't need a heartwarming story about your dad and your three legged dog. Just ski down the damn hill already! It must be a guy thing, but we don't need the drama, we just want to watch the event.. ;)

Drama? Drama?  Oh, yeah, that's why they invented DVR, isn't it?

I watch the show in 15 minutes time......actually it would only take 10, but I replay a lot of the slo-mo, some of it in frame-by-frame.

I will say, Clff Walsh did deliver with the .500S&W.   He did beat Jerry Micule at 2009 USPSA, so he is highly qualified with the revolver.  He talked the talk and then stepped up to the line and walked the walk.  Hammed it for the camera and looked really smug about it.  Of course, if I could clean those three targets with that gun in 3 seconds, I probably be pretty smug myself.

The same can be said about politics to.  Clinton may have done many, many bad things.  But I JUST DON'T CARE that the guy got a bj from a young girl given the opportunity.  And THIS is what a two term President of the worlds "Super Power" is remembered for around the planet?  That speaks volumes.  Not of him, but of the rest of us.    ::)

Yes, it underscores how stupid and gullible the citizens are, and how the socialist dems use the mass media to lie.
He was not impeached for getting a blowjob, no one blames him for that, even from a fat chick. His offense, that the dems carefully hide, is lying to Congress, for which he was convicted and disbarred and to the American people.
