Title: I Love The Smell Of Irony In The Morning
Post by: tt11758 on August 29, 2011, 01:00:12 PM
Quote
President Obama Authorizes Presidential Disaster Area For Dickinson, Clay Counties

This was an actual headline on my radio station's website.  How ironic that the words "Obama", "Presidential", and "Disaster" should appear in the same headline.   ;D

He should declare a "Presidential disaster" for the entire country.

I think they've just handed the Loyal Opposition it's latest and most apt slogan...and "In his own words" too boot.

I see bumper stickers, yard signs and all kinds of "memorabilia" coming out of this....   Glorious.

Maybe even the MSN won't be able to pass up a chance at this one.

I hate to sound so ignorant being so close and all, but what is the disaster?

A community organizer had a hang nail.   Their insurance company wouldn't cover it as it was a pre-existing condition ("You had fingernails when you applied didn't you.")  The local emergency room wouldn't handle the case but refered the organizer to a Wal-Mart pharmacy.

Severe thunderstorms with large hail and nasty winds earlier this summer.  In Dickinson County there were several boats knocked of hoists and sunk, and others blown up onto the shore.  LOTS of damage.

Is that what laid down your corn in patches and took out that hog barn just north of your lovely community?
