Big Three Nets Ignore Rep. Carson's Lynching Smear of Tea Party
By Matthew Balan | August 31, 2011 | 13:02
Representative Andre Carson's inflammatory attack on the Tea Party has yet to have receive any attention from the Big Three networks. As reported by Politico on Wednesday, Rep. Carson accused Tea Party-friendly members of Congress of wanting to bring back Jim Crow and went so far to accuse his colleagues of wanting to bring back lynching: "Some of them...would love to see you and me...hanging on a tree."
Jake Sherman's report for Politico noted that the "explosive comments, caught on tape, were uploaded on the Internet Tuesday, and Carson's office stood by the remarks." The Blaze, a website run by Glenn Beck, uploaded a video compilation onto YouTube on Tuesday morning which included the Indiana Democrat's smear of the Tea Party. Carson attacked the Tea Party immediately after complimenting Congressional Black Caucus Chair Rep. Emanuel Cleaver at a CBC town hall in Miami on August 22:
[Video compilation embedded below the jump]
REP. ANDRE CARSON, (D), INDIANA: Under Chairman Emanuel Cleaver's leadership, we have seen change in Congress...the Tea Party is stopping that change. And this is beyond symbolic change. This is the effort that we're seeing of Jim Crow. Some of these folks in Congress right now would love to see us as second-class citizens. (audience members reply, "Yes!") Some of them in Congress right now of this Tea Party would love to see you and me...hanging on a tree. (audience members reply, "Yes!") Some of them right now in Congress are comfortable with where we were 50 and 60 years ago.
None of the Big Three networks evening programs on Tuesday- ABC's World News, CBS Evening News, or NBC Nightly News- covered Rep. Carson's snipe at the Tea Party. The following morning, none of their morning show covered it either.
By contrast, these networks were quick to go after Rep. Joe Wilson after his infamous "you lie!" outburst at President Obama on September 9, 2009. Within 24 hours, then-CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric highlighted the "congressman last night calling a President an outright liar to his face" and stated that this was "just the latest indication of how ugly the debate over reforming health care has gotten." On NBC Nightly News, Brian Williams trumpeted "the outburst heard 'round the world," as correspondent Kelly O'Donnell played up the "stunning outburst" and the "fit of anger" displayed by Rep. Wilson. ABC World News's tease of their story on the Republican's outburst used an almost identical line: "the shout heard 'round the world."

It doesn't matter why we want to see them swing. They call us racist because they have no argument. Something I have learned over the years. Once someone stops debating the issue and starts attacking you personally, walk away. You have won the argument because they have no ammunition left. What sucks is that it has become socially acceptable to attack someone personally simply because you don't like their politics. How far we have come from the days when men had honor. :'(

Rep. Allen West Calls On CBC to Condemn Carson‘s Hateful Rhetoric or He’ll Walk
* Posted on August 31, 2011 at 8:30pm by Christopher Santarelli Christopher Santarelli
The hateful rhetoric of Democratic Indiana Rep. Andre Carson, as first reported by The Blaze Tuesday, has gained some national traction. No-nonsense Republican Florida Rep. Allen West has called on the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) to condemn Rep. Carson’s remarks made on August 22, including suggestions like “Some of them in Congress right now of this Tea Party movement would love to see you and me hanging on a tree.”
Appearing on “Fox & Friends” Wednesday morning, Rep. West, who is also a member of the Tea Party Caucus, first said that he has been considering dropping out of the CBC after hearing Rep. Carson’s Lynching remarks, and Rep. Maxine Waters’ “Tea Party can go straight to hell” statement. Wednesday morning Rep. West said that he thinks the caucus is not in tune to the true problems of the black community and is also concerned about the rhetoric its members are engaging in.
It has now been reported that Rep. West has sent a formal letter to CBC Chairman Rep. Emanuel Cleaver asking the body to condemn the hateful remarks directed to the Tea Party or he will leave the caucus.
“As Chairman of the CBC, I believe it is incumbent on you to both condemn these types of hate-filled comments, and to disassociate the Congressional Black Caucus from these types of remarks. Otherwise, I will have to seriously reconsider my membership within the organization,” Rep. West wrote.
“Congressman Carson’s desire to generally criticize a large grass-roots group as racist is baseless and desperate,” said Rep. West. “When individuals believe they are defeated in a political disagreement, they normally resort to race-baiting, which in my opinion is in itself racist.”
Roll Call reports this evening however, that Rep. West’s call for political justice will go unnoticed.
“House Democratic leaders have no plans to reprimand Congressional Black Caucus members who used anti-tea-party rhetoric at town halls and job fairs over the August recess.
‘The CBC events across the country have helped shape the jobs debate in Washington,’ a senior Democratic aide said. ‘They have gathered unprecedented local and national coverage and have shown that House Democrats are listening to the No. 1 concern of the American people: job creation.’”
Since when does portraying your political opponents as a “lynch mob” create jobs?

Liberals have never been civil.
They have no valid arguments so when challenged they immediately resort to verbal and physical violence.
From accusing Joe McCarthy of being queer (Rick Perry as well ) to "Buck Fush" their tactics remain the same.
Smear or kill.
Name one assassin who was a conservative.
The Southern lynchings were carried out by the KKK.
Being a democrat is one of the requirements for membership, always has been.
"Kill the Crackers", New Black Panthers ? Dems.
La Raza ? Dems.

The Playbook States:
1) Ignore the facts.
2) Deflect The Blame.....of course it's Bush's fault, and ALL this is inherited.
3) PERSONAL ATTACKS
Al Gore remarked that what Bull Conner (former chairman of the state DNC), did to blacks was horrific,.... and Tea Party members are against minority rights/entitlements,...ergo racists. ...
Did anyone have the balls to ask why Al Gore Sr. D-TN, voted AGAINST the Civil Rights Act,......TWICE!!!!!

Uh, Tom, lets tell the truth here. Yesterday's Southern Dems are todays Republicans. Strom, Jesse, Delay etc. This BS of saying White Southern racists were dems is true, but its BS if you don't acknowledge that they are GOP now. That said, it doesn't mean that conservatives are racist or the democrats aren't (this jackass being exhibit A). Still, lets not pretend that a political realignment didn't happen in the '80s when conservative white democrats shifted to the GOP. Pretending otherwise is just dishonest.

FQ, You are as full of shit as a Christmas turkey.
The Democrats do nothing but feed off minorities.
Planned Parent hood, which dems fight tooth and nail to preserve is nothing but a failed eugenics program to limit the black population.
Affirmative action, which the Dems also fight for, is nothing but a fancy way of saying "We know you darkies are to dumb and lazy to compete so we will set lower standards for you.
Kool ade slurping dumb asses like you keep spouting about "The Republicans are the party of the corporations, and the rich.
They work to keep them rich."
First question is who creates the jobs ?
It surer than shit isn't illegal aliens on welfare.
2nd question is, if that is true of the Republicans , and the Dems loudly proclaim they are the party of the poor, underprivileged and downtrodden, then isn't the opposite true ? They work to keep them "Poor, underprivileged and downtrodden, because if they didn't they would lose their constituency.
What is the purpose of gun control ?
Keep guns out of the hands of minorities.
Who pushes gun control ?
Dems.
So yeah FQ, lets tell the f#@king truth here, the Dems fought a war to keep blacks as farm equipment, the formed the KKK to keep the freed ones in their place, they fought the civil rights movement tooth and nail and now that "John Henry" has been phased out by John Deere they use them for vote cattle.
Their welfare programs are the modern version of"Massa takin' care of his coloreds" and it's the same damned Party.
And as much as you try to BS every body about being a libertarian, your liberal leanings show through when you try to divert a thread about Liberal hypocrisy into a debate about race.
The mention of democrat sponsored lynchings was only one example I used.
You chose to ignore the others, and the violent verbal attacks launched against President Bush by your kind in favor of attempting to divert the subject.

Tom, what did any of that have to do with my post? The point was simple. Conservative white Southerners switched parties in the '70s and '80s. Therefore saying that its the Dem's who were pro KKK misses the point that those same guys voted GOP in the '80s and 90's before they started to die off. That's not opinion, its fact. So, spare me the Limbaugh BS. No party is virtuous on this issue. Again, fact, not opinion, so why don't we stop with the BS that the GOP is the party of racial equality and the Dem's are racist (or vice versa if you listen to the Dems) and accept that both parties have blood on their hands and move on. I mean hell Tom, when did either one of us care enough about what other people think to spin the historical record? Tell the the truth and and let the chips fall where they may.

FQ, While the segregationists may (Just off the top of my head, Al Gore SR was a Segregationist, I notice Jr is still a Dem )have fled the Dem party when they realized the socialist take over had turned it into the party of treason that does not change the racist nature of the Dem Party.
Who consistently has made an issue of Obama's alleged race ever since the campaign began ?
On the other hand, who has consistently been opposing his socialist policies ?
And what was the immediate response ?
During the campaign and after the Rep. or Tea Party never raised a question about Obama's alleged blackness. (His Kenyan relatives are more than half Arab, his people weren't slaves, they were slave traders )
It was the Dems who have tried to make an issue of his race, and who answer charges of a socialist agenda with accusations of racism.

Spot on. There is nothing virtuous that a really good lie spoken by a bunch of henchmen to willing gobblers can't tarnish in the eyes of the public.
Seems to me that when the foundation is an emotional arguement ignorant of the facts, the things a person or group chides others the most on is exactly what they are most guilty of. Liberals are the perfect example of this mental disease.
The refusal to acknowledge truth in facts presented by bringing up some nonsensical unrelated issue based on "it could be true so now what" is a pathetic attempt to either cling to childish foolishness (liberal sheep) or obfuscate selfish desires (liberal wolves) at the detriment of all they rule over.
