Officials released President Obama’s uncle from Plymouth County jail yesterday after holding him for more than two weeks on an immigration detainer for violating an order to return to his native Kenya in 1992.

US officials refused to disclose any other information about Onyango Obama, who remained in the United States undetected until Framingham police arrested him Aug. 24 on drunken driving and other charges.

Sheesh..  we can't even deport criminal illegals who endanger REAL Americans by driving drunk.

According to the Governor and Attorney General of the Peoples Republic of Assachusetts, there are no illegals residing within the state.  The don't recognize them as illegal or otherwise.

As far as DUI's, a couple of years ago, they finally jailed a Muslim fellow after fourteen DUI convictions after he killed someone on the cape while driving drunk.  The were concerned for his safety in the state prison so they gave the camel humping asshat a suite in the "Club Fed" facility somewhere on the cape.

Prosecutor to pursue case versus Obama uncle

A Massachusetts prosecutor says he’ll continue to pursue a criminal case against President Barack Obama’s uncle even though federal immigration officials have released him from custody.

Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone said Friday he’ll pursue state charges against Onyango Obama stemming from his Aug. 24 arrest on a drunken-driving charge.

Federal immigration officials took Obama into custody shortly after that incident on allegations he violated an order issued nearly two decades ago to return to his native Kenya.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman Brian Hale says Obama was released Thursday and was ordered to regularly check in with the agency.

Leone says he’ll pursue the criminal case because drunken drivers pose a significant public safety risk.

Obama is the half-brother of the president’s late father. His lawyer won’t comment.

A giggling Onyango Obama -- the president’s illegal alien half uncle -- made a brief appearance in Framingham District Court today on charges he was drunk when he nearly struck an unmarked police cruiser last month.

Obama, 67, was visibly amused at the media spectacle, stifling laughter several times before his 30-second court appearance where a judge set a Nov. 17 pre-trial conference.

Obama did not acknowledge a Herald reporter’s questions upon arrival at Framingham District Court and neither he nor his lawyer made any comment on his way out where they were followed to the parking lot by a horde of media.

His attorney, P. Scott Bratton, did, however, tell the Herald that Obama, who has been living illegally in the United States for nearly 20 years, has returned to work at Conti Liquors in Framingham.

"He has. He’s doing well," Bratton said.

Obama was accompanied in court today by two attorneys and an unidentified male supporter. The courtroom was packed with some members of the media, but mostly with other defendants hauled in for the usual round of arraignments at the county court located in suburban Boston.

Onyango, who had a valid driver’s license and Social Security card when he was arrested last month, was in the U.S. illegally having already faced a 1992 deportation order. Immigration officials have ordered him to "check in" with them.

When he was arrested by Framingham police on suspicion of drunken driving Aug. 24, he suggested his first call should be to the White House. A spokesman for the president told the Herald that call was never made. He actually called his boss at Conti’s Liquors.

Middlesex District Attorney Gerard T. Leone has also vowed to prosecute Obama to the fullest extent possible on the OUI charge.

I hear what you are saying, but it's a Liquor store, so it's not very likely.
