This is one I have never heard of before. A man brings a rifle, disassembled, in a case, into a gunstore lays it on the counter and it goes off, shooting two people.

Even if by "apart" they just mean stock and action separated, Mausers are not exactly known for just going bang for no reason.

Who would take a gun apart without checking to see if it was unloaded....
Not someone who was thinking...
