The strangest thing happened to me on the way home from work the other day and it just proved to me how strange my life really is. :-\ I am the security guard in the story.

I took this picture right afterwards. Note the bullet holes in the drivers window.

Right place, right time... Or, wrong place, wrong time. Either way, you helped save a life. Stand proud, ya done good.
And yeah, you do live a fairly strange life. But, it ain't boring. ;)
From Crusader, (who's dang proud of ya!)

Ya did good, Ghostman. kept your head and knew what was needed to be done.
Can't help but think of the thread going about the power outage......the folks in that story would have been crying and wringing their hands in helpless despair..
Well done.

Well done to all involved. (Except the scumbag with the knife )

Great job!

Good Job, Ghostman.
I hope the deputy's department rewards him for innovative use of resources (you). His quick actionand willingness to improvise saved the life of that lady. The "book" probably said to wait on the shore until backup came.

The sheriff's dive team was tasked Wednesday with recovering the spent shells from Brown's sidearm. They thought that the casings likely sank within feet of where Brown fired through the driver's side window.
Uh,...Why????
What could possibly justify the cost of having a dive team recover spent shell casings?
Just wondering....

It's evidence - all evidence that can be collected, will be collected.
When the criminal's family hires an attorney because poor Heriberto didn't need to be shot, he just didn't understand eenglitch for "stop stabbing the lady", the dept may need to prove it was issue ammo that was used or some other bullshit, like where he was standing.
As if it makes a difference in this case. Really stupid and a waste of time and money but that's the world we live in.
Nice job ghostman!!!
