It wasn't like he all of a sudden became a fan, but he strongly pointed out what he thought were some very good views she expressed in his article.

A sample of his view of her ideas covered in the article
But something curious happened when Ms. Palin strode onto the stage last weekend at a Tea Party event in Indianola, Iowa. Along with her familiar and predictable swipes at President Barack Obama and the βfar left,β she delivered a devastating indictment of the entire U.S. political establishment β left, right and center β and pointed toward a way of transcending the presently unbridgeable political divide.
Of course, if someone in the MSM is liking her ideas, I find that suspect and reason to give them a bit of scrutiny.
And I still have major doubts about ever being able to believe that those we in here call "Progressives" can ever "see the light" enough not to be a threat to the country.

Progressives are socialists, always have been.
Karl Marx used the term "progressive elements" in "Das Kapital" in reference to followers of his ideas.
"Progressives" are no more capable of being patriotic Americans than Vidkun Quisling was of being a patriotic Norwegian.
