Hi everyone... this is my first post and let me first say that I'm happy to be here. From what I can tell, the members here are knowledgeable and friendly - just the kind of folks I want to be around.
My question has to do with the GunsAmerica website. Just a few minutes ago I visited that site for the first time and noticed some symbols in the far top-right corner. Are those Arabic letters? I can't tell what they are and I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed them?
Thanks for your replies and I look forward to becoming a more active member of your forum community.

Don't know why it's there but it looks like Hebrew.

It is Hebrew, and I also have no idea what it is there for. I used to read Hebrew, but this makes no sense to me.

Doesn't it say "IDF Approved" ? ;D

I copied the Hebrew letters, and when I paste them they come up as Baruch HaShem. A quick search came up with a translation of "Blessed be the Name" (or Blessed be God).
That's all I got.

BAC, that matches with the image properties for that graphic. I'm using Windows & IE8 and if you right-click on the image you can see that the graphic's file name is 'bh.png' . Thanks for your help.

Hashem is actually code - instead of using the name of God (Adonai, spelled in Hebrew (right to left) Yod, Heh, Vav, Heh) in anything but a prayer, Orthodox Jews will say Hashem - "The Name". So Baruch Hashem is actually saying Praise God.
So, from this we can learn, the owner/operator of the site is Jewish, probably Conservative or Orthodox.
Interesting. NBD, but interesting.

Yes it is, not just that he's a Jew, but the whole translation bit.

It's kosher!

If memory serves, GunsAmerica is an alliance or organization of pawn shops formed to more efficiently move guns. Pawn shops are frequently owned and operated by those of the Jewish faith, so it is no great surprise that there would be a reference to God's blessing written in Hebrew somewhere on the site.
FWIW

The logic of the "code" interests me.
They have a prohibition about using the name of God in other than a formal prayer, so they use the "code" word instead.
Sort of like we might pick a code word for "shit", as in "I need to take a Pelosi". Everyone knows what we mean, even God.

It has to do with the whole "Thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain" thing. If you're just shooting the breeze, even while taking a Pelosi, the Orthodox do not to risk taking the name in vain.

My point was that if you are thinking shit and say Pelosi we all know what you are thinking, even God knows, so using a code word isn't fooling him....you wanted to take His name in vain, but used a code word to get off on a technicality.
