what he said.

My Dad passed 20+ years ago, and I still miss him. It hurts less, but I think about calling him to fill him in on his grandson becoming a newly minted Marine, or to ask him something about the family. Can't.

But continue to love him and remember his vitality, the fishing trips, scaring your dates with a shotgun in high school - whatever happened and revel in them.

My sympathies.

Mine checked out in February and while we weren't close there is still this hole I haven't quite come to terms with.  I can't imagine had we been as close as you and your dad what it must feel like.

The better he was and the more you loved him, the more it hurts.

You will find him in your memories and dreams forever.

Take care.

Red,

Treasure and focus on the times you had together.  Put some pictures up of those times around your house and when it really hurts look at them and remember them.  Remember each of those talks, and experiences and his teaching that each of those photos represent.  He is still there inside of you whenever you need him.

Hi;

I lost my Dad in '98. I still miss him. You may think this is strange but he still lets me know that he is near me. I look forward to the time that we will meet and be together again. Then we will have a long time to have a sit down and just go over things. We loose them only for a short time, then if we did right we have eternity with them.

Very sorry Red. Always know he is still with you., He passed things on to you to never forget. Cherish those memories.  Carry on, as hard as it is to do so, take the next generation of your family and friends fishing and shooting and remind them of Bob Linder, and all he taught you.

All Is Well
Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other, we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household world that it always was,
Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It's the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.
All is well.

God Bless.

I'm sorry I missed this until tonight!

I think others have said it all, so I'll just say - What they all said.

Take care and remember the good times.
