SALEM, Ore. -- A state appeals court has ruled that the Oregon University System cannot ban guns on college campuses.
A three-judge panel of the Court of Appeals ruled Wednesday that only the Legislature can regulate the possession of firearms.
The judges did not evaluate whether the gun ban violates the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which protects gun rights.

Glad to see it was thrown out.
Glad to see it was thrown out in a manner that says The legislature makes the laws in this state, not you know it all elitists.

Great News!
My personal opinion is that by not ruling based on the Second Amendment is that we can trust that the Second Amendment protection is a given and strong enough that it doesn't even need to be a part of the argument.
Keep the freedom train rolling!!!

Has the university filed an appela to the State Supreme Court yet? Should we get a pool going for how long that takes?

State issue, I don't think the Federal courts have a say, thank God.
