Title: At 92, Andy Rooney Retires From 60 Minutes.
Post by: twyacht on October 02, 2011, 07:55:54 PM
From lead paint, to the postal service,..phone companies, and the inept practices of politics. Andy Rooney,, at 92 has given his last "final word" on 60 minutes.

Grump-In Chief, Whiner-At-Large, his career spanned an amazing period of history. He was posted about here at DRTV some time ago, and reminds me of my Father-In-Law, Grandfather, and downright grumpy old man, all into one.

Sometimes he made sense. Sometimes he had me yelling at the TV. Generally, like some members of family and friends we all know.

I know he served very honorably in WW2 but I could never stand his shtick.

WHile I never cared for 60 min or Rooney... I do agree with the one comment of his that I have always remembered.
