Looking ahead after his poll bounce, Herman Cain suggests either Paul Ryan or Jim DeMint as good fits for his Cabinet or the VP slot during an appearance on the Steve Gill Show.

"I will be looking for someone as Vice President who understands problem solving the same way that I do," Cain said. "There might be different styles of leadership but there is only one formula for successful leadership: making sure you know how to identify the right problem, set the right priorities, and surround yourself with good people. You can't be so egotistical that you are afraid to hire people smarter than you."

He also loves Newt Gingrich's "brilliant mind."

With a couple of relatively minor exceptions, most everything this guy says resonates with me.  I am liking him more with each passing day. He just might become our first successful black prez.  What a nice change that would be.

I don't really know enough background about the other individuals mentioned but I'll agree on Newt, his video on gun rights was a classic.

He also says he would NOT have Perry and will NOT run as his VP.  (wish he'd say the same about Romney).

NO!  Gingrich would KILL any chances. He's unelectable. For one thing he believes in anthropomorphic global warming!

Gringridge as an adviser, sure but NOT on the ticket.

Even if Romney wasn't a f*cking RINO, Romney - Cain would not be a good ticket.Romney's only selling point is his "business experience". He would be better served by having a VP with different strengths than his own.

I'd still totally enjoy Newt and BHO in a debate setting.

There would be no contest.

Rubio is biding his time. So alas, we have what we have. :-\

Think big picture people.....BHO cannot be re-elected...The voices of us lowly masses, are resonating with the candidates.....

The same ol', same ol', ain't gonna cut it. Cain is the anti Rep. establishment candidate. It is a shot across the bow that the Ken Doll ain't it.

But BHO must not get re-elected....He must go back to Darth Rahm, in Chicago,....and GO AWAY.....Build a house with Carter and STFU,,,

You guys aren't guilty of "measuring the drapes" too soon, are you? There is a bit over a year left before we go to the polls - anything can happen between now and then.

Note: I'm talking about the general election, not the primaries.

Primary is the most important one, If both parties run assholes it doesn't matter who wins the General election.

I'll be the first to say it;
Cain/Palin

She said she wouldn't run for president, nothing about VP.  In fact that is how most of us know who she is.

Newt has been in too many comercials, PSAs and propoganda to be electible.  A brilliant man, that was convinced to do some stupid things, I blame his wife....

Always a safe bet   ;D

Normally, I think Newt's knowledge of history would make him an outstanding President, but under current circumstances we need some one with business sense to solve the economic fiasco more than we need some one who can use historical precedents to "govern".
You are right that he is not electable, if only because he has been out of politics for 20 years.

palin on the ticket means 4 more years of BHO.  She is toxic as far as a election goes.  Tearing her apart is easier then shooting fish in a barrel.

Though I am as surprised as anyone else when I find myself agreeing with TAB, I think he's right on this.

Palin is toxic.

And it's not that I don't like her and/or think she's bright.  I do, and she is.

But way too many of my fellow 'mericans think she's a dolt.

I just think she's a quitter.

Agreeing with Crusader, AND TAB!  :o

Palin would ruin the ticket. Not because she is a bad candidate, but because so many ignorant people have been taught and conditioned to hate her.

Ya but they could use Michael Jackson's Black and White song.  Teach Cain how to moonwalk and Palin how to play guitar :D

Or they could have this as a theme song.  :)
