What happens when a financial expert tries to take on “the 99%” at Occupy Wall Street? Peter Schiff, CEO and Chief Global Strategist of Euro Pacific Capital Inc., found out when he paid a visit to the occupiers at Zuccotti Park.
The long-time financial industry executive and radio host asked the protesters what they felt was a fair percentage for him to be taxed. None seemed to provide a clear answer, but were intent on telling Schiff that the Bush tax cuts need to be abolished. Schiff then attempted to explain to the demonstrators that, if the Bush tax cuts were allowed to expire, he would end up paying more than 50 percent to the government in taxes. Is “that fair?” he asked. The protesters simply stayed on course, reiterating that Schiff and all those in the “1%“ need to ”pay their fair share.”
Schiff provides a good example of what happens when “the 99%” are confronted with legitimate questions about taxes, entrepreneurship, employment, and giving back to society.
Common sense just deflated the 99% around him... ;D

I am considering sending an email to OWS asking if communism is what they want, why have a large number of communist countries gone to capitalism? I'm hoping to get enough hate mail to get a CCW permit approved. ;D

Hell, just post something that folks on this board will take as liberal. Blame Bush for something. That ought to get you your hate mail. ;D

Just look at all the Capitalist that are selling and making big profits from the very thing the demonstrators hate, their own selling and making profits and I wonder if their paying taxes on what they sell. :o ??? ???

Pretty much like the GOP with the Tea Party. They'll take your money and your vote, but don't think they are happy to have to deal with you. And don't be surprised if they screw you over with a smile on their face. After all, the little people can be seen and heard, but doing what they say? Don't be absurd. :P

The complete stupidity of these people all but proves they were paid to be assembled there. There was not a single individual around him with an ounce of common sense. The dumbest person there, (the woman droning on about the Bush tax cuts), was the dumbest and most idiotic, and she did most of the talking. Is it any surprise why these people don't have jobs? What could you possibly pay them to do, that would be beneficial to anyone? Even a child can be taught to clean up after themselves.

I don't know about NYC, but in the Occupy London they did a thermal imaging study and up to 90% of the tents weren't occupied. Either they were setup as fakes to make the event larger than it really was, or these people are going home at night to their nice warm beds and hot showers.
