Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain had a bit of tough time on the campaign stump Saturday — supporters of rival candidate Ron Paul repeatedly shouted him down and heckled him, such that Cain cut in and told them to “be respectful.”
It started when Cain, delivering one of his standard lines calling the economy “on life support,“ was interrupted by a shout of either ”This is absurd“ or ”The Federal Reserve” — an audio recording of the exchange was unclear.
The candidate stopped his speech to tell the crowd, many waving Paul campaign signs, to knock it off.

There's no excuse for this kind of behavior but it happens in every election. There are always hecklers, and sometimes the candidate's voice gets drowned out. There are also ways to deal with hecklers. This doesn't reflect well on those who did it but honestly the failure to handle it doesn't reflect well on Herman Cain, either. The only person tangentially involved who wasn't implicated in any way was Ron Paul, unless it can be shown that he set this up.

In all fairness, I think those heckling were women in the crowd that had previous run ins with Cain near the ladies restroom. :D

This immature gullibility is typical of people who support a candidate who has been failing longer than most of his supporters have been alive.
Even the MSM is referring to the allegations against Cain as

allegations that even the media reporting them acknowledge are threadbare.
And yet. Did you know that over the weekend our Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis referred to the Tea Party as "teabaggers?"
Yes, a major Cabinet member in this administration used a Florida campaign appearance to malign millions of Americans with a sexual slur because they don't want to live in an America that is approaching $15 trillion in debt.
Silence from the Washington press corps. That's worth repeating: Hilda Solis uses a pornographic term to define a major grassroots movement in this country and it didn't even generate a shoulder shrug from the media.
On the other hand, it's perfectly okay for that same press corps to paint Herman Cain as a predator for making a "gesture" that's not even sexual.
