Title: For Michael Bane
Post by: ke9xf on November 20, 2011, 02:29:13 PM
Hi Michael,

I've talked to you at several of the NRA Conventions.... Now that you're going to a hour format for Shooting Gallery... Maybe you could do a simulation of what it is to actually be in a shooting... The feelings,,,sounds ,..... psychology,,, police response ..... attorneys.... family and friend response... witnesses response... financial aspects... society response... etc...etc...What do you think... Talk Massad Ayoob and Clint Smith ,,, and some of the other experts into helpiing you to document what no other shooting show has done.... To as realistically as possible recreate what you actually go through if you are involved in a shooting.  ???? Thanks for your response...

That's very similar to what we're doing on The Best Defense, and I think it's a good idea (which I'll probably steal). Ironically, in TBD we've stumbled into some gaping holes in both civilian and LEO training, and we've been working in patching those holes...

In a similar vein I've been after Lorne Michaels to do a skit I wrote in 1977 on Saturday Night Live.   One of these days.......... one of these days.
