Can anyone post pictures of any quick on/off driving holster that they made. I am not convinced a crossdraw is for me for CCW.

Here is one I did, using a plastic paddle.

Richard, I presume your intent is to take the gun from the "car" holster and put it in your "carry" holster as/just before you exit the vehicle. Have you consider attaching a holster to the seat/console/somewhere instead of having to remove the "car" holster from your person?

Don, thanks for the suggestion but I drive my wife's minivan also. Sometines w/grandkids or others. I prefer to stick with a quick on/off style if possible. I seem to remember someone who made a holster that attached to the seatbelt and considered that for a while.

You didn't mention the type of gun. If a small revolver, perhaps this. http://www.baramihipgrip.com/

Richard, BLACKHAWK makes a quick disconnect system for their SERPA holsters.
If you are looking particularly for a custom leather holster, there may be a few of these guys on this board (from the examples I have seen in the last week) that could possibly adapt a kit to fit.

Thanks Peg but I'm thinking about something on the order of a crossdraw with snap belt loops. Several of the large companies make them but not a cd type that I can find.
Don, my main CCW is a Colt Officers ACP.

I carried my Commander in a Ted Blocker Model 12 for years. It worked equally well for IWB cross-draw and strong-side because the belt loop was on a swivel.
