That's to bad....
From the story it appears she was flipping the bird to the technicians who were trying to distract her...which probably happens in every news room in the world.
The bad thing is that she didn't realize she was on the air.
I'd imagine for a professional in the broadcast media, saying that is like a gun owner saying "I didn't know it was loaded". I'd fire her for that way before flipping.
