Its BS. I bought my first gun when I was 12 with lawn mowing money. I own around a dozen now, and I've probably owned, sold, and traded close to twice to three times that number over the years. Hell, I just bought a Bond Arms derringer to replace one I've traded, and ordered some upgrades to my AR. This has been going on for thirty years and I ain't got the habit yet. I can quit anytime I want to. I just haven't wanted to yet. ;) 8) 8) 8)

No problem here.
I keep telling my wife that I need to buy guns for the kids when they grow up, but I dont think that I will be able to give them to them.
The kids have already told mom that when I die which guns they want. My oldest daughter has her eye on my beautiful S&W model 66. She can beat most men with it. Her idol is Jessie Abbate.
At 4H shooting club my oldest daughter took 2nd in pistol, 1st in rifle, and 1st in shotgun. My second daughter took 1st in pistol, 3rd in bow, and 2nd in shotgun. My oldest son took 1st in pistol, rifle, and shotgun. In their age brackets. My kids want to get into action shooting and it is giving me a reason to shop around for more guns. It is getting to be expensive though. My wife is happy that me and the kids have fun, and supports my habit spending time with the kids.

bulldog75, you have a great burden...Children that are pursuing an active role in shooting....AMEN. It's kids like yours to carry on after were gone. All we can do is get what we can, within our means, and always remind them to remember why that 66, and others matter to us and family. Even Grampa's ol' .22....or Wards Western Field Bolt Action .410 I inherited.
I have a 17 year old son, who also loves to shoot, but I miss not having the chance to have a daughter. If for nothing else, to scare the crap out of her boyfriends... ::)
it was worth posting...
